There's another movie that'll hopefully tie up some loose ends, but otherwise it was decent. about what i expected. ouch. yeah, that's why we probably won't get the japanese GO combiners here, cuz each member would require a different size class, or at best, 2 would be the same and the one with the electronics would be way more. was your wife there last Thursday too? I met a blond woman there who was looking for MP Soundwave. I think that's partially because of how things ship out when they arrive in california. They end up on a truck and some of those trucks head straight to Texas, then unload going east, while we're the last stop for some trucks that hit California and Arizona. But then occasionally things show up here before other places, so it's all a bit of hit and miss. I love our community here, since we're basically all in the same area, it makes it really easy to meet people and work together. I think some employees just don't know whats going on. when i worked there, some people could care less what was in the back, while others knew everything. Also, everyone is told not to tell people, but then some do. so it's incredibly varied. I was hoping to here reports that he's shown up on shelves today, but none of the stores have done any resets to hold space for him, so i think it'll be awhile still. and finally, Yes, there has been! I figured it might be something like that. I didn't mean to sound negative if I did about NM. I love it here a lot. Just frustrating when my peeps back home are getting some cool stuff when we're still waiting. NM getting stuff before other places probably happens more often than I'm noticing, too. West had 4 MP Soundwaves this morning along with a couple of Acid Storms and the employee I talked to said they were all bought up almost immediately after they opened. She said the trucks deliver on Wednesdays and Fridays there and the Friday manifest doesn't have any Soundwaves or Acid Storms on it so she told me to check back next week. I may have to wait until the initial buying frenzy to taper off before Soundwave can sit on a shelf long enough for me to grab in the afternoon when I get off work. There's no way I can arrange to be at the store at 10am during the work week.
Honest question for you guys: which to take first, MP Soundwave or titan-class Metroplex? I only ask because while Soundwave is a must buy regardless, Metroplex is listed as $109.99 on BBTS and that's cheaper than I've seen anywhere else. Although finding Soundwave may be the trickier part of this. And I will be going to the meetup.
Soundwave. While I'm stoked for metroplex, masterpiece figures are just so badass and way more collector oriented.
I got parts and neodymium magnets for making the gun mode look more sci-fi-esque, and, if there was a way to make the torso not part form without having some large and unwieldy joint system run along the gun somewhere, I would try, but for now, I am ok with part forming, the transformation is a bit of a mess anyway and feels like part forming with them tethered together, mostly after making it more like a toy gun that turns into a robot than focusing on the transformation. I'll go to the meetup, though, PM me squallte so we can work out a back up plan if you can't go, maybe I can drop by and finish those old trades and get the broken glowing seeker before the meet?

Got my club Slipstream today and she looks good. Really like this mold, and really like the new head. Gonna set her up with Dark Energon Skywarp once I ship my pol. Also got a G1 Quickswitch today. Pretty stoked to have him.

I mean, I dont like to be a jerk like some arrogant douchey TF collectors I've met that buy out the whole shipment so other people dont have a chance.How do you guys feel about that?
We stash things for each other all the time... i guess it could be a dick move, as we're hiding for each other, and not just letting anyone else find it, but at the same time it keeps scalpers from getting it and helps out friends. However, I'm sure there's a few lurkers here who might see a post if you stash it, so ultimately it doesn't even help that much. Something that rare, I'd probably stash and then tell people to PM me, so I could let them know where it is and avoid lurkers from finding it.
I'm thinking we've got some lurkers. I was out the door within minutes of the posted sightings of Trailcutter and Sandstorm last week at the Targets and they were gone.
That makes sense. I'll keep that in mind the next time I see something I know someone here is looking for. That's what I like about this group is that everyone is pretty tight knit and they really help each other out. And I'll remember not to post that I've stashed in a public post. SHHHHHHH! Yeah, of course there's also the possibility that some kid had birthday money that day and just got there first, that definitely happens. A few years ago, I jumped in my car after seeing a post about something new, wanna say it was Classics related, and when I got to the store, a kid was standing in the aisle holding it in his hands and just staring at it... I got sad, until his mom came around the corner and told him no toys today. Then it was mine.

I have them now. They have been sitting on my couch watching Deadliest Catch reruns with me since I freed them out of their plastic cages, too. XD
I'd offer to give the kid the money (with the parent's consent) if I had enough to spare and saw the kid clearly wanting it intently... but that's me... and I don't always have the funds, still, if some kid wants one I can reach but they can't, I do get it for them if they linger long enough...
