I agree with you guys about the lack of distribution in RI.
I have been grabbing most of my figs over the line in MA or through online sources.
Good luck to those looking for MP SWave; I will keep checking the brick and mortar until something develops.

Oh I know...obviously MP figures will be scarce, but I was making the point that even non-MP figures seem to be hard to find at times.

I've actually been buying most of my TFs at discounters or pharmacies because that's where I've found them. Big Retailers have not been very helpful.

In the meantime, I've been buying older TFs online and opening up my old stock I haven't opened yet.

I opened up HFTD Terradive Tuesday night, he is as awesome as I imagined he would be. A fun toy with a satisfyingly involved transformation. I did this AFTER I opened up the TFCClub Depth Charge figure. Doing so made me notice the differences right away. While they fixed the fat shoulder clips issue on Depthcharge (which can be easily fixed on Terradive), he is made of cheaper plastic (almost model kit like) and his paint apps are atrocious (like they rushed the thing-some areas are not fully covered in paint). He also is a bit looser overall because even though he fits together, it's not a tight a hold and his joints move a bit looser/smoother. I was not impressed with him, but I was very impressed with Terradive.

Hey, has the second part of the Iron Man Marvel Legends wave (has Ultron in it) shown up yet?

TRU Warwick had 3/5 of Ruination this morning. Not much else.

Was Impactor present? Ruination doesn't do you much good if you don't have the center.

I blame Hasbro for the constant MP fiascos.
Takara always ships hundreds to the stores selling there's, especially when it comes to online locations.
There's no need to make these figures store exclusives that real fans have to battle scalpers for.
Went to eBay for the hell of it and the first figure I clicked on was literally being sold from warwick, RI

No offense but wouldn't take that deal if it were the only one on tfw2005. Not one auction on eBay has sold for over $225 yet.

I had better luck toy hunting in Los Angeles at Xmas than I ever have in RI. The scalpers here are outta control combined with the chain stores never putting in orders for the TFs. At this point I pretty much only online order for what I want or buy what I want at conventions.

I've found more stuff I wanted at discounters like TJ Maxx and Marshalls than I have at the big retailers. Thank heavens they even sell toys there.

Currently I've reached a point where I'm no longer giving a damn about domestic toys. Many lines I loved have become downgraded, cheap, and overpriced. Even before these issues arose, there were so many toys I've never found and because of it, so many lines I've decided to just not bother with. Do I check each time I visit a store? Sure, but it doesn't make much difference. I've started buying stuff online instead. Items from Japan, online-only toys like Glyos, and older toys from retailers online.

Well I'm tapping out myself. I've spent months thinking about it and it's just not the same. I've come to accept that it sucks being a collector in RI. Even better than that I have decided it's time for me to quit the plastic crack and get a new hobby. I'm going to be starting my collection purge. I've got figures from many lines, so If anyone here is interested in any figures send me a PM. I started working on a list, pics, and will be posting here, in the BST thread, Ebay, and and eventually Craigslist. Kind of sad, but excited at the same time.

    So sad

It really sucks that you have chose to leave the hobby. Scalpers suck. Hopefully after you sell a few items you will change your mind It's harder than it looks. Any way hope to find less grief in what ever you do next peace be easy

its pretty sad I was worried I'd never find a soundwave in store and dropped $180 on eBay for one before the price did skyrocket.

I would suggest to any RI collectors, if possible try to get your MPs at a MA store this weekend due to tax free weekend.
I did just that and got mine for a flat 119.99; good luck to all.

Anyone see Ruination in RI recently? Or at least tell me what stores the five have been spotted in?
