Compare the face with a side by shot of Bulkhead from TFP. It's more of a giant chin like Bulkhead's and also, the rest of the head looks the same. Wide apart eyes and facial expression. Everything.
I really think it'll be a hybrid of Bulkhead, Kup and Hound. Grizzled Vet like Kup, bruiser like Bulkhead, and name and colours of Hound.
I see what you mean! With the round helmet-like head, it does kind of look like Bulkhead. If this is true then I wonder if Hasbro is trying to bring in the Prime series within the movies, because there is also a suspected Star Saber.
If this is Hound........way to go Bay, ya screwed up another character. If this is Grimlock..............Just, no words can describe the stupidity of it. If it is Brawn......I'm ok with that.
I'm slightly surprised that so many people are still surprised and raged at the bot aesthetics and personalities compared to their G1 counterparts in a Michael Bay transformers movie... this is the 4th one! it's a whole different universe/continuation... its movieverse Transformers. if you didn't like the other 3, you are probably not going to like number 4. nothing has changed.
People are still surprised? You had three movies to prepare yourselves! What made you think this was going to be any different? Did you really think Bay was going to change his approach?
ok had to chime in one more time while I wait for my food. Can someone, anyone please make a poll thread asking who would now like Hound if this is his head? Id like to see just how many people would not like it, like it or don't care either way.
Thing is, I like the aesthetics..And I didn't mind bearded transformers in the previous movies. Because those beards still looked like parts of robots. This, on the other hand, looks way too organic.Just like with Que. I might warm up to the design or like the actual character in the end but that doesn't change my opinion about them going too far with the faces this time.
Thing is, I actually like the movies for what they are and the general asthetic. I pretty much liked all the designs from the first movie, concepts like Ironhide's and Starscream's were fresh and interesting, but they just seem to be insistent on spoiling the mix with sticking in silly designs, no doubt to convey some sort of character and personality, when what they were already doing by not necessarily basing the characters' features on typically humanistic standards did that job successfully and in a less contrived way.
