Well, there are 874 brick and mortar TRU stores in the US, plus the online store. So even a total of 4000 units means that at best stores will receive 4 units total; if the same lot of items is also where they pull online orders from, then forget it.

Anyway, as reported on Facebook Oxford Valley got 2 SW this morning and both bought by one guy.   Said next truck is next Thursday.

 

Thanks for leaving those. I picked up that set tonight. I wasn't going to buy them but I like the head sculpts. And it was awesome to find a complete set.

I finally got a Masterpiece SW at the toys r us in Woodbridge. Called Toms River and Eatontown, Toms River rushed us off the phone while Eatontown informed me that they sold out but Freehold had 3. This was at 10:30am. Freehold tells me they cannot hold collectors figures. I jet there, get there at 11:00 and all three are gone. We leave and my girlfriend calls Woodbridge and an employee answers and says they have none, but before she can get off the phone she retracts her statement and says that there was one being held for a customer who decided not to purchase it and she'd hold it for us. Drove up there and got it. Funny how the hold policy is different between so many stores.

Also to go with how shitty Hazlet is we called yesterday and they told us they weren't getting the shipment until next week. You could say that they might not have none, but every other store I called knew exactly when they were getting the shipment.

To a note to everyone else just stand strong and it will come to you, it sucks how the stores policies differ so much and one store won't hold anything for you but let one guy buy multiples, while another will hold but keeps to saying one per customer.

Also also, sorry Omega about that shit luck dude. I will say this thank you for the DVD's a few months bad I have not stopped watching them.

There was one sighting in Kansas City that had over 20 at their TRU, and at least one CA saying their TRU had about 30. Apparently they're hitting full force some places.

Woodbridge, that's the closest store for me, and I call them 4 times beforehand and the lady always said "two more weeks until we have it" without any checking process, lol, I'll let it go as I got one during the Tuesday's 8 minute window. What was the price you have BTW?

Im not buying these crazy sightings of 20 Soundwaves. I was at the Times Square TRU - the largest TRU in the country - and the manager there told me he was hoping to get 12 units total in the first shipment. And as for the TRU "NJ warehouse" - well, TRU is based in Wayne, so I'm not sure the "NJ warehouse" as described has anything to do with how many toys get to NJ stores. There are around 45 TRU stores in NJ, and that includes express stores that almost certainly won't carry Masterpiece figures. But let's be generous and even say there are 50 TRUs in NJ, which there aren't - this claim therefore says that there will be between 200 and 800 Masterpiece Soundwaves per store. Obviously not happening.

Not trying to burst any bubbles, and I want everyone to get a Soundwave - but there is a lot of weirdly excited information being posted about availability and I don't want anyone to get their hopes up unreasonably.

 

Also, in a place like Kansas, it's likely that the Toys "R" Us that receives 10, 20, 30 units, is the only Toys "R" Us location within let's say 150 miles or 250 miles. So it's not quite the same as when you have 40 Toys "R" Us stores all sitting in the same small state.

 

A manager at Woodbridge said they got "like 10" in and they were all pretty much gone. I got 1, so another fan with 1, and saw about 4 or 5 behind the customer service desk with what I think were reserved stickers on them. So maybe 20 isn't that far-fetched?

I was on the phone with TRU in Secaucus and while they said they didn't have any MP SW, according to their computer they indicated that TRU times square had over 1000 of them in their warehouse. No joke.

 

Well they were not in out on the floor yesterday, I checked the TF section at 7pm.

 

What you say is no joke, but TRU distribution/inventory management system IS, Period.
