on easy go to the level with the little man lvl 3 and finish it the final boss is the one you need to catch the evolution one.

When you encounter it and fight it in the combat screen, it shows up as a stage 4 Laserbeak. When you capture it, it's a stage 1.

So whoever posted a while back about about bosses eating cubes they are still eating cubes in certain situations, I leveled up in hard six got one trash fight before soundwave, used one cube so I had two left, hit the 3 cube attack it took 2 from my spare cubes as well as the two I had. So be careful everyone if you got two bonus cubes left at a boss and if you got three make sure it ain't taking any from your reserves.

 

Looks like they boosted the attack on the bosses and now you can't continue if you lose the match. Last night you can opt for adding another cube but now it just ends the match. I completed all the levels, makes me think I should've chained all the SW last night.

The new update killed the game for me, not interested in buying chains now.

 

As of right now....

If you Level and get your 3 free cubes... If you turn around and 1 cube something, it will take 2 cubes.

So far, the only way I have found to stop this, is to exit the game after leveling. Then come back and you can 1 cube something and it will only take 1 cube. I have only been able to test this once but, I've had it 4 cubes from leveling before I finally got around to testing.

 

I just leveled up. Started with 3 cubes in one fight and I played one. On the next fight I had two cubes left from the level up. I think this is actually fixed. I'm playing Hard Level 10 but I don't think that matters.

Edit: I'll add that I'm on iOS and that I did exit to the mission selection screen and I saw the Level Up message before returning to battle the bosses. Will try it the usual way next time to see if this is still a problem.

 

Robo, I tried it about 3 hours ago, and lost a cube. I'm also on Android and I never backed out, I actually spaced out and wasn't thinking about it until after I hit the 1 cube.

 

Thanks Erland and Robo for the advise. I've been having is happen to and will try exiting mission or restarting the game too.

 

Do you remember if that was before or after the latest update? I'll pay close attention the next time I level up and see if the problem is still there and if there's a way to work around it. Heh, with all this conflicting information I'm not sure now if I just imagined it working.

What happened to Soundwave Sig weapon after getting the points? I didn't receive it?? Damn.

 

I'll have fun setting up different decks for the different missions! Seeker deck will attack easy missions, dinobot deck will deal with medium missions!

 

I don't know when the update was, when I did it, it was around 6PM EST. I just leveled like 2 seconds ago and just exited the game. So give me a second and i'll let you know if this gets around it. I'm not willing to voluntarily lose another cube to see if it's still doing it.

EDIT: I didn't lose a cube this time but, I did completely exit the game between leveling and attacking another boss

 

All right, back to the grind. What mobabullshit did I miss? No rewards? That's just awesome.

Not to worry. I just leveled up, did the usual thing and I lost a cube. Tossed a single cube at a boss, the confirmation dialogue came up informing me that I was using 1 cube, and the boss got defeated. Scan, scan to get to the next boss. Only 1 free cube left at that point.

So, the problem has NOT been fixed yet. Thank goodness Mobage did get a chance to change those three battle cube rewards to three energon net rewards for the big bosses. They've got their priorities straight.

 

The point gaining system is extremely aggressive, since it all boils down to how many energon chains you willing to use/buy. Using one gives you 2 mil. points at Hard 10. So point gaps mean nothing, since anyone can just decide to use 5 chains and gain north of 10 million.

 

Does anything happen after you beat Hard 10 Soundwave? I played through the missions, got to him, and lost. 3 cubes only gets me about 10% of his HP off now, and I don't have 30 spare cube refills (I got half that many). I remember the press release bit say you get rewards for beating the campaign, but, I never got a reward for beating Ravage or Beak's, just the shot of capturing them.

Also, how do you guys get really powerful for fights? Note, I'm a free player. I MAY spend a rare buck or two on the game, if convinced, to get something really worthwhile, but I'm definitely not going for a 3000 bridge or anything of the sort.

My best cards are, going off the top of my head:
MTMed - Rank 4 Shockwave, and rank 3s of Grimlock, Prime, Starscream, Jazz, Magnus, and one or two others I forget.
Laserbeak - the event one, fully evolved and maxed every step of the way
Rank 4s at level 65 (but not MTMed, missing the other half to Trans-scan): Prior episode's Warpath robot, robot Prime, robot Megatron and robot Arcee.

I got rank 3 of pretty much everyone else I can work on too. Including another Grimlock pair I can do, he seems pretty boss.

All my party members have max upgrade personal weapon. Grimlock has Grimlock's Weapon, etc etc. Warpath is running with a rank 4 Metroplex weapon fully max.

I am, even with optimal placement, sitting at under 10k in battle power. Like I said above, 3 cubes gets me maybe 10% of Hard 10 Soundwave's HP now.

I know, finding the other half of the rank 4s to MTM them would work wonders. But, as I'm completely free, I 'got to' wait for more gold medals from points to find them.

Note, I'm not really caring about this event and Soundwave, he's not a top choice of guys for me. I'd not mind a rank 4 Prowl set, but, no way am I going to be going for it 'for real' with actual money spent. So, I guess a 'for future reference' would be appropriate here.

I know if I really wanted to beat up this event, I'd go hunting out Hard 5 Soundwaves again and again, full evo them to evo4, and try to get a full party of them to smash Hard 10 Soundwave and cap him as often as possible, but that's boring and then I'd have too many Soundwaves. At best I may be interested in hunting him down for just a single set needed to get evo4, but with using only free nets, that is likely going to get boring.

So, how do you all get the "I can one cube 25 million HP!" and more, setups?

Beating Soundwave Hard 10 gives you 60k points, then about 280k for mission completion. Capturing him gives 2 mil.
