That's because Amazon has sold out of their stock of pre-orders, and it's going through a 3rd party now.

dropped Amazon and ordered via BBTS as its worth an extra $10 to avoid a potential delay of weeks.

The price you see on your order page won't reflect the change, but when (if?) they fulfill your preorder, you should see the cheaper price. As long as you had your order in before or at the time of the lower price, you should be fine.

I'm currently debating whether or not to switch to BBTS. I'm a Prime member and placed my preorder as soon as Metro went up, but I received the "we're trying to find more stock" email. If I add Metro to my POL at BBTS, I'd be paying about $116 for him... decisions, decisions...

I don't know if I'd cancel the prime membership. 2 day free shipping still is a cool perk.

Yeah I have no e-mail about the delay so who knows.

For less than 2 dollars, and peace of mind I would recommend BBTS. There's saving money and then there's penny pinching :lol

I'll wait until the shelves at Target and TRU are clogged with Metroplex and get him on clearance for $19.99... at least that's what happened with the first release of Unicron...back in the armada days..

minus he was priced $50 versus this release. If this figure drops bellow $100 for clearance, i'm sure they will fly. Doubt that this would even go as low as $20. but good luck!

If amazon is having issues getting stock of metroplex then TRU/Target/Walmart are not going to be getting him at all or in very short supply as they do not even have a stocking number for him yet. I pre-ordered at both amazon and BBTS for this very reason; a shortage. I cancelled my amazon order so mine can go to someone else as I would not feel right about getting two and prevent someone else from having one. My BBTS order has a tracking number so he is sitting on the dock waiting for its pick up and origination scan so I can get a delivery date.

Spoke to a Amazon manager and he/she said that the order(s) of metroplex from Hasbro was reduced by Hasbro and divided up to other distributors; apparently amazon was getting more than there fair share. Before you ask I know someone high up in amazon and called on his/her personal cell phone so he/she does not get in trouble for the info.

I am not at all surprised by this at all. After seeing the mountain at Botcon I knew Hasbro was going to have supply issues; it should have been larger than it was for the venue.

    Good luck and happy hunting.

If I've learned one thing in this hobby, it's that "waiting" on popular releases isn't a good idea.

There was someone here in the forums who mentioned, not too long ago, this will be shorted and would not be in abundance...they mentioned something along the lines that Hasbro did not want stock to be sitting around and put on clearance....i guess that is true...

Metroplex doesn't have a low price guarantee, only movies, music and games do.

Ah! That explains it. I almost always order my games and movies from Amazon so I thought they did the same for toys as well. Good to know that.

I co.tacted customer service and they confirmed they don't have enough. they offered to cancel it and let me buy one from one of their 3rd party sellers for the same price and refund my postage. surely not? they gave me a link to click but it goes nowhere. don't want to cancel my preorder and risk losing my place if the other plan doesn't pan out!

and Hasbro Produced the Eff out of Unicron. Enough that Amarda Unicron got repacked into Energon boxes. This lead to KB Toys getting a close out on it and then selling them for $20. I miss you KB Toys.
