Spoke to a amazon rep last night to make sure metroplex was shipping today or tomorrow and they are having major supply issues with the pre-orders with metroplex. They are going to fill the orders in the order they received them but they apparently have more pre-orders than the amount of stock they expect to receive. She also did not come out and say it in plain English but they most likely will be cancelling a large number of pre-orders. They are expecting their first shipment in the next 2-3 weeks according to her.

This info has no official published source so I cannot attest to its validity.

 

I received a similar email regarding a delay with the G1 Predaking reissue.

 

It's in stock at BBTS right now, just cancel your PO with Amazon before they do.

Isn't Metroplex getting a normal, retail release? If so, why all the fuss?

 

He is. Having him delivered to your doorstep is better than trying/hoping/praying you can find him in stores.

 

Glad now I didn't cancel and reorder for that extra $1.80, lol.

 

I'm fine with waiting. At Prime prices, i'm getting him cheaper than the retail price, and without wasting any gas. So they'll get him when they get him.

 

I can wait, it's the uncertainty that sucks.

 

Annoying. I got the email last night. I pre-ordered it the day it went up on the site, so hopefully I'll get mine. I wish they could get us am exact date though as the money sat in my account could go towards something else if metroplex isn't coming in for 3 weeks.

 

Preordered via amazon but no email yet for me. still i might drop and switch to BBTS.

 

I was going to preorder from Amazon, but his price has been inflated to 180 for the last couple of weeks on their website.

 

I checked my wife's amazon order for Metroplex and it was $124.99 with prime membership. I cancelled it last night and ordered from BBTS, saved quite a bit even with shipping. When I called before cancelling they said it was always 124.99, but I could have sworn it was cheaper on their site, and I had it preordered super early so I should have gotten their lowest price guarantee. Glad I went with BBTS, they are still in stock too! No shipping delays.

 

I'm keeping my pre-order, had amazon credit, getting it for about $75.

 

Before I cancelled my pre-order i had it for $114.99

 

Thats what mine is sitting at right now, which would make it $10cheaper than BBTS for me.

 

Amazon usually has their stuff together when its come to preorders I placed in the past, sad to see they messed up on this one. Still, not really in a hurry to get it, and $114 shipped isn't a bad price at all.
