I'll never own it, which makes me want it.

 

Any guess as to how much that is gonna cost?

 

If they really want to make it exclusive or lucky draw, they should release the whole Kenzan figure as gold instead of just gold combiner head.

 

As always, it is a giveaway on condition of 3000 JPY or more purchase.
Where and when are unexplained yet.

update:
Takaratomy pulled back the commercial.
and TFYuki tweeted that promotion will be run in late July.

 

Too bad the final combined figures don't quite match the artwork depicted, proportion-wise. Good to see the brand continue in Japan though.

Woah, just picked up a Gekisoumaru over here in Japan and was given one of these for free... Its pretty sweet for a freebie.

 

So they are already being distributed? Could you hook me up with one by any chance?  

 

Lol, I may try to pick another one or two up but it means spending at least 3000 yen on a transformer each time and there isnt a lot here that i want...

 

Yeah that's understandable. But if you do manage to pick up an extra, maybe pm me and let me know what you'd like for it?

 

They went available yesterday (as it says on the website). Various stores have them "while quantities last" for anyone who spends more than 3000 on TFs.

My recommendation, if you're going to be hunting for more, is to go to a more out-of-the-way store. Major stores tend to have kind of shameful selection of TFs, except for the big, central stores in big cities. Naturally, that means that the fans go to those stores (and heck, there are more fans in big cities). A store in a smaller city, or one further out, will probably have a crappier selection of TFs (not such a problem if you're looking for the newest things) but will pretty much have those kabutos to give out for weeks or even months. They're also less stingy about giving you multiples (I happened to be in Nagasaki this weekend, and was kind of surprised how easy it was to talk the store people into giving me more than one - usually they limit them to one per receipt, no matter how much money you spend in Osaka).

Worth remembering if you can't find it in a few days (which wouldn't surprise me if you're in Tokyo). Either way - remember that you might have to ASK for the kabuto at some stores. Some never seem to know when a promotion is on...

They look pretty nice in hand. As I don't have the actual toy though, a quick question. Is the chestshield supposed to peg into the guns hiding the head for the non combined sort of a gun mode?

 

That's a neat twist on the "lucky draw" concept.

 

I just picked one up on ebay for about $12 including shipping to the USA. I guess they were pleantyful. Probably be harder to get the figure it attaches to cheap.
