The clip shows, obviously. Speed Metal needs to just die entirely. Sick Mind and Out of his Head could be cut and merged. If all the filler and linkage is cut from the four-part relic hunt episodes, you could probably get them into two episodes. There are more, but I'm too lazy to actually do the work and stuff.

True, but I doubt it- after going through three whole series and the "last stand of the Decepticons" (I still wish that was the episode title, I really liked getting it from their perspective at the end of Synthesis) it might seem an afterthought to kill them now when it will have little in the way of lasting reprecussions.

I emphasize that I don't want characters killed for the sake of it to up the stakes, but just that the atmosphere and insistences that "anyone can die" were something of a no-show. But that is fine/not neccessarily a problem (I just whinge too much), to be honest TF: Prime got away with a staggering amount of violence, death and dark themes for a high-profile children's/family TV show. All-in-all, although it was by no means perfect, I liked Prime a lot- it settles into a comfortable third place behind Beast Wars and then Animated. I think it has been often underrated, unfairly demeaned or even made a victim of its own success as when people complain that it "hasn't gone far enough" when it was wonder it went as far as it did, and I have certainly gone far enough to recommend it to people (even non-TF fans). I'll re-watch "Deadlock" later; hopefully I will enjoy it more the second time around.

eh, even though I don't like 'bee, him being the one to kill Megs made perfect sense from a storytelling perspective- he had the most avenge him for, after all, so I had no problem with that part at all.

Do people actually think Gilvezan costs more than Friedle? They were "cheap" to get Batman?

It did seem just a teensy bit odd to me how he seemed sad at his death. But when you think about it, it makes sense. Since he rejoined the cons, Starscream has been loyal to Megatron, if only to save his own skin.

I really liked it, it shows how Starscream had genuinely changed after he learnt he gained more from loyalty- indeed, after he learnt from his humiliation conga in season 2 that all the power he ever had was that granted by Megatron, without him he is nothing.). Also, the difference of their leader being slain by an Autobot in a manner that not only brings the Decepticons to their knees but also leaves Starscream pretty royally screwed (left only with Shockwave, whom he knows despises him) might have something to do with it. His reaction was my favourite part of the episode.

To elaborate- last time Screamer rejoiced at Meg's death, at the end of the pilot, he did so because not only he hated Megatron back then (principally as Megatron had returned from years of absence to Starscream's pretty good Earth operation merely to stomp all over both he and it, and at a time when Starscream questioned his leader' sanity and ability to lead) but also as it was clearly to his advantage as it allowed him to gain leadership. This time, however, not only as the character development of both characters meant that Starscream and Megatron had actually learned to get along again (and Starscream clearly took his new oath of fealty strongly), but also killing Megatron here left Starscream with nothing- his faction in tatters, their master plan ruined. There is no leadership left to take, nothing positive he can glean from this. The death of Megatron has also caused his life to fall apart, so it is no wonder the emotional and highly-strung Starscream had a bit of a tantrum.

Starscream should care. Without Megatron around, he's royally screwed.

He couldn't make it as a rouge, he burned his bridge with the Autobots, he burned his bridge with Predaking, and he wasn't popular with the other Decepticon troops. Megatron was pretty much his shield and last resort.

To me, Megatron was simply a means to an end for screamer. Face it, between Megs and Screamer, if anyone had a chance of suceeding, it was megatron. So starscream's
reaction was probably like Megatrons reaction to the fallens death in ROTF. He lost something that would help him win. That, and he probably did gain SOME sort of loyalty to Megs.

Yeah it was one of my favourite parts to but i expected a more paniced reaction than an emotional one a "Oh $h!t my meal ticket is gone." than a "MASTER NOOO." but hay thats just some drunk scotts opinion.
My favoriet part was Knockout just any scene with him.

To me, Starscream's relationship with Megatron after he (SS) came back was--well, first of all straight out abusive--but second of all it really exemplified the phrase "hitching your wagon to a star." In other words, pinning all your hopes on someone/something else, hoping they will lift you. Which can be a good strategy, but not if your star suddenly becomes a falling star.

Well, can someone explain me, how could Bumbler hold Star Saber? It was allowed only for Primes, right?

Like the Forge, it can be HELD by anybody, but its mystical powers only work for Primes.

Same way that various characters were able to wield the Forge of Solus Prime without being a Prime. Notice how the Star Saber wasn't glowing blue like when Optimus was using it? Without the wielder being a Prime, the Star Saber is just a big-ass sword.

He could hold it but not activate it. its not like Judge Dredds Lawgiver where it explodes if someone else uses it.
plus it wasnt glowing when he or Smokescreen held it so it stands to reason in a non ptims hands its just a big heavy pig sticker but in Primes hands a bad ass over powered Lightsaber.

Posted just as the guy above me did lol.

Naw man...That was the 2nd best part of this whole damn series. 1st being the reaction Ratchet had to Prime destroying the chance to fix cybertron.

This isn't G1...This is different..and this is a VERY different Starscream.

He had his time in power...and he went rogue...In his own words he said "I realize my place among the decepticons"

Don't forget about the episode where Megatron went into his head..

Although most incarnations of TFdom show SC as a leadership opportunist 100% of the time, in this story line, That has been snuffed out by failure and humiliation..

So yea..I thought his reaction was genuine..I LOVED it..Him dropping to his knees..Despair! He NEVER thought an autobot could kill megatron...He never could have imagined it..

MY LIEGE....I WILL AVENGE YOU!!! were the last words Megatron heard...from his ally that was closest to him on a personal level..

It was more of a "I have dispised you for SO long..Wanted what you had for SO long..Now your gone and I realize we were brothers" type thing.
