Nice, I had no idea Troy Baker had done all of those. (I was out of the loop for a long time after I stopped watching G1 as a kid, until TFP came along.)

And yeah, it's definitely good to see (well, hear   ) Sumalee popping up in other stuff. She's got a very distinctive voice.   And I have to say again, I hope the next series is a continuation of this one and Arcee is in the main cast, with Sumalee doing her voice.

And speaking of Arcee, I just saw the finale a bit ago, and

I am so relieved she didn't become a casualty of war. I know the odds were against it happening, but there was still a chance of her being killed off, and that's probably been the most nerve-wracking thing for me this entire season.

That scene at the end, too.

When she and Jack say goodbye. The voice acting for both her and Jack, and the expressions that crossed her face.... We all know her background--how hard it she resisted becoming attached to anyone else, and all of a sudden, here's this alien kid who got her to open up and became one of her closest friends. Even though it should be easy enough for her to come back and visit, with the ground bridge now able to reach Cybertron, she's still leaving him. She'll still be gone for long stretches of time before he sees her again, and they'll miss each other.

Damn. That scene fucking wrecked me.

Oh, I absolutely would have. I just pictured it happening and it pretty much had that exact effect on me.

Arcee is needed to help re-build Cybertron and start getting it ready for when the masses start to return. But no question she (along with the others) will be back on Earth at some point and visit as often as they can.

But you're right... it won't be the same and who knows how long it will be?

now that her home is alive again, that should be her priority. I'd just hope she (all of the 'Bots, really) would be able to take a week off every few months or so, especially once the other Cybertronians start to return and help with the rebuilding. Even if their bodies don't get tired the way ours do, their minds probably need a break once in a while.

 

I'm kind of hoping we get to see the kids all grown up in the movie. It would be nice to see an adult Jack reunited with Arcee. But, that's if they have the humans in the movie at all.

 

I think I recall seeing Josj Keaton's name on the Predacons Rising press release so I think we'll at least see Jack return which I hope because I'd like for him to see Arcee again. That last part got me a little emotional and I hope this isn't the last time they'll have adventures together.  

 

(Argh...wanted to post something sooner, but life has been getting in the way, as it often does.   )

Yeah, same here. Jack and the other kids were there pretty much from the beginning, so I'd hate to see them left out of the wrap-up movie. It'd be good to see him and Arcee working together again, and hopefully not after having several years pass without seeing each other.

Hmm...this next thing is kind of random, but I found it amusing, so I'll go ahead and post it. Few days ago I was playing around with some screen capture software, looking for something cool to use as wallpaper...and, well, with this first one, I pushed the capture button at exactly the wrong moment. Or maybe the right one, depending on who you ask. Derp.  

Happy Arcee is Happy. I wonder how many mosquitoes got swallowed up by that gaping grin.

I'm toying with the idea of making a set of Arcee icons. Haven't had time to make very many so far. Here's a few of my favorites....

Hmm, now that I think about it, I used to have almost exactly the same looks on my face at various times when I worked in a Walmart one-hour photo in my shitty former hometown on the Oregon coast.  

 

I do love the expression she made.   she's certainly one of the most expressive character on the show by far.  

Though did anyone catch her smile at the last episode where Bee got his voice back?



If this isn't the biggest smile she's done for the whole series I don't know what is.  

 

Yeah, I think Arcee and Starscream have the most expressive faces on the show. Arcee has a truly adorable smile. It's kind of a shame we didn't get to see it more often, but yeah, when she does it, it lights up the whole room.  

I love that smile when Bee talked for the first time. Like I said, it just lights up the whole room. ^_^

Man they're great to look at.   Hopefully we'll see more in the movie once it comes out.

That smile she makes, combined with the sudden wide eyes, makes me think of someone who just sighted a bottle of Dr Pepper waiting for them on the stairs.

That's the best way me Meta can describe that kind of realisation-smile. Regardless, it's a nice smile and I like smiles, I love it when Optimus smiles.

 

Now that I think of it Prime Arcee does have a couple things in common with both her G1 and TFA versions personatly wise. Like them she's pretty motherly towards some people she cares for like Jack,Bee,and Miko if they're upset,need help or jsut there to talk to. She's also willing to give her life up for them if neccesary though I think some people will say it's been more well developed. She also shares the more ruthless violent fighting tactics of IDW Arcee but not insane.

Also I like how her Japanese voice sounds. It sounds a little more young but still carries the same feeling of toughness that Sumelee Motano has when voicing her.

 

Gamma Ray Burst..... To address your feelings on the arcee haters I have an opinion on that.

CHUNKY CLUNKY TRIKE will bury your ass in the ground if you cross her, and the good think about Arcee is SHE IS SCARY FAST AND SKILLED IN FIGHTING, BEFORE YOU KNOW IT ....

YOUR DONE AND SHES LONG GONE BEFORE YOU REALIZE WHAT HIT YA!!!!!!!!​

 

I am a little bummed that Arcee didn't get to do too much in the Predacons Rising movie though to be fair her arc is done on Earth so it made some sense. At least she didn't get the shaft like poor Magnus did. I do like her and Bee's chat in that one scene of him learning from the best from her.  

 

What could she have done? Gut Predaking and become the king of Cybertron?

 

It was nice of BB to acknowledge that RC "taught him everything he knows".

That was a nice touch but I'm sad also that she didn't have a lot of screen.
