Tokyo, also did anyone here try to grab the leftover sdcc exclusives on hts? I was lucky and grabbed sdcc metroplex so I'm glad I was looking in the meet up Lumpy and didn't see the date of the next meet up, do we not have a date yet?
Hey, I just realized something: I don't I've ever put my XBL/PSN names on here. If anyone wants to add me, I'm StrikebackPrime on both Xbox and PS3. Look me up, we'll throw down in Injustice.
Date is not set yet, but hopefully will be soon. Thinking location will be my classroom again, unless anyone else has a good suggestion of somewhere else.
Fuddruckers is nice, and twin peaks is great, but they don't really have a big group space, except the outdoor patio.
Just wanted to throw those out there lol. I got a question for you guys as I've asked this in the toy section. I'm thinking of fumigating/fogging my house, any personal experiences with it affecting Transformers?
Dude. Text me man! Always happy to give a headsup. I thought you've bailed on us for Dragonball. You know we still have the TV movie "Predacons Rising" in September still left to go right? Also, anyone have a Movie 2007 Payload they're looking to ditch? If so, maybe bring it to the next meetup?
twin peaks?? also, welcome Autobot Blu! your art is impressive! nice work! was taking pics today, thought I'd show off a little, the monger head on the antimonitor body is an unfinished custom, working on attaching it somehow so I can use the ball on the head, anyone have suggestions for other figures worth looking into?
I don't have experience with it, but I'm assuming its like Lego since they are both similar if not the same ABS plastic. I'm a whore for Lego pretty much. It's been my experience that although you can get scentless fumigation kits, some times the smoke can leave non-visible residue which can lead to discoloration on the plastics. It's usually not immediately noticeable and takes time for discolorstion. It hasn't happened to me personally, but everytime I meet sell Legos, people ask of they are smoke free, and or fumigation free. I know most of the time if you wash your toys right after, they won't be affected, but who wants to wash 800 TF's? It's probably best to do research to see which fumigation kits are scentless and residue free.
Not sure, I don't collect the beast hunters series so I never pay attention to them. I'm so poor I have to choose only from the series I want the most. Hehe
I'm collecting the FOC figures, TFC toys mainly, and I am awaiting the FOC metroplex, masterpiece soundwave an predaking reissue. I want to collect a majority of G1, generations and masterpiece figures also, but I may as well wait until I move back to Japan to get those. They'll be easier to find and I won't have to pay stupid import fees. I am starting over on collecting. I mainly like the figures that pay homage with similarities to g1, and was never a fan of Prime, energon, armada or the beast wars/hunters series.
Grabbed the only lonely Sandstorm from the Paseo Target on Friday afternoon but Springer was gone. I'm starting to think people are lurking and stealing all the sighting that are posted. Finally found Springer in a return cart at the Walmart on Eubank by I-40. I kinda want Masterpiece Acidstorm, but I'm slightly irritated at the change in molds for the Seekers. I have the older mold for both Skywarp and Starscream but the newer mold for Thundercracker (leg flaps vs no flaps) and I'd rather have uniform Seekers.
Although I'm a pretty big geek and collect action figures and draw manga etc., my love for Japan surpasses that. I am very much into Japanese culture and the Language. I originally lived in Japan to study the language but had to come home early. I want to move back to master Japanese mainly, but also because I just love the damn place. Pop culture aside, I just have an affinity for Japan. Maybe I was Japanese in a previous life.
