I don't care about any tiny flaws.

This episode was perfectly fine to me.

They pulled everything together brilliantly.

And I'm kinda starting to realize that most of te nitpicks posted here are personal.

I.e. OmG! Did Soundwave, my FavRIt character, just get outsmarted? UnacEPTaBLE!

 

Man, there is a Ying for every Yang. You really didnt think Soundwave was the most bad-ass and smartest being in the universe, right? XD Besides, I think its good that he lost in his own personal field: intellectual.  

I am still trying to assimilate this series finale. So much encountered feelings.
I do know that this was an amazing series!!!!!  

 

This season seems better planned and executed than the last ones. Is it because they had less episodes to work with so they compressed everything? Were they running out of story ideas in the last season?

I would have wanted more episodes, but this does make me wonder whether more episodes is truly a good thing or a bad thing. It is my opinion that they can improve the pacing by dividing 22 episodes into several major story arcs.

 

No, I think it's just because for once, they actually had a good linear plot line that all came together in the end, this season definitely didn't have boring filler episodes though.

Also with two seasons behind them and fan critique or raging, I think they finally figured it out.

I could go on a lot about your nitpicks, but I had to comment on this one. Bee didn't wield the Star Saber. You can pick it up and use it if you're not a Prime, you just can't use the full power within it.

I thought Ghostbusters Instantly when they mentioned Crossing the Streams....

But Great Fight at the End....Looking forward to the Movie.

 

God why couldn't Season 2 be as awesome as season 3? Season 1 and season 3 were amazing to watch and parts of season 2 as well.

Bumblebee killing Megatron was insane! I was actually expecting Optimus to kill Megatron. Oh and It sucks that Hasbro spoiled Bumblebee regaining his voice. But whatever.

Also the goodbyes with Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Arcee was heart touching if you ask me. It's sad to see best friends saying farewell. And wow it's weird that Ratchet chose to stay, especially since he originally never cared for earth and wanted to go back home to Cybertron.

And it's nice to see that Starscream, Shockwave, and Knockout survive! I wanted some Autobot deaths! Bee's doesn't count! And Soundwave will find a way out of the shadowzone. I mean he's Soundwave  

And I hope, HOPE that the next series will be a sequel. I mean the next series doesn't have to focus on Team Prime. With them rebuilding, a new team of Autobots, plus Ratchet who remained behind, can show up and stay on Earth! Also the next show could have cameos from Optimus, Ultra Magnus, etc.

Now bring on Predacons Rising!

Fewer episodes almost always end up with a superior product. It's not an absolute, but it's rare that the reverse is true.

It all comes down to numbers. If you have a 5-person writing staff, trying to come up with plots for 6 episodes, that feature 12 characters, how many lines of dialogue, exposition is there? How much time do they spend writing it, tweaking it, making it better? If you double the number of episodes, the product’s naturally going to suffer. Now you can always double the writing staff too, but are all five going to be as good as the ones you have?

I know that’s a very simplified version, but it’s basically what sets British television apart from American. They like to make series of 3 to 13 episodes, usually around 6-8. American networks prefer to be anywhere from 21 to 28.

As I said above, there are exceptions. Battlestar Galactica did pretty well with a lot of episodes. Transformers: Rebirth was pretty awful, though part of it was that they cut it from a five episode arc to a three, and there were an unworkably large number of characters (toys) to introduce, which is why many of them were introduced as a group, and then never seen again.

Transformers Prime ends with Bumblebee killing Megatron to save Optimus and uttering perhaps the most icon line in Transformers since G1. Everything awful about Megatron in every incarnations summed up in two sentences, as he dies

A Transformers series ended with the death of Megatron and the war being truly over. I can't imagine us ever seeing this on the small screen, done so well, voiced by G1 Actors, ever again.

Let that sink in for a second. This was one of the best episodes of an amazing show.

 

As much as I want it too, with the supposed rumour that the next series is more like Rescue Bots, I want it to be different, knowing the darker aesthetics would be dumbed down even more for kids.

 

If Jack can't ever outsmart a Cybertronian, what good is he? It's not like he's going to out-punch one.

Besides, Soundwave had very little to do with the original Shadowzone incident. In fact it's quite possible that the Decepticons never did figure out exactly what was going on there. He reacted like he knew he was in trouble once the bridge opened behind him (i.e. he knows space bridge theory) but he may not have known that Raf could and would use another bridge as a weapon.

Oh yeah, and Bee never died. I just watched it again. The wound inflicted exposes his spark, which never goes out.

just a few things.

The name "Prime" meant that this was the first, the main, the PRIME continuity they would be working on. Yes they said "waht it means to be a prime blah blah" in the beginning but that got dropped. Move on.

a lot of people confused on who can use or can't use what....

oh and someone quoted the Galvatron -> Rodimus line from the 86 movie wrong, and i see this a lot actually... sorry for the nitpick:

That's it. "NOW" is OPTIMUS PRIME speaking from within the matrix. as in "now. now is our darkest hour. go on. do it now. NOW."

do people really confuse Nimoy and Cullen's voice there a lot?

BB killing Megs completely dropped my jaw. like, literally.
Yeah, i would've preferred they didn't spoil his non-death.
Soundwave will be back.
Goodbye scene was very touching.
Prime's rage upon seeing Bee's death was pretty badass.

I'm probably gonna go and watch this episode again. Amazing.

Oh, and i KNOW YoungPrime is trolling by even coming in here, so I am trying to do my best to not feed the troll. But oh well. "yay i got attention look at me" what are you wasting your time in here for. No one cares what you think about this show, since you've made it clear how much you hate it, and are commenting in a episode discussion thread, populated mostly by people who love to watch this show - kinda logical they would hit the ep discussion thread. Honestly, you people that hatewatch stuff need to spend your time on stuff you like... Hell everyone's free to have an opinion. Another Rescue Bot like series would be fine but I'm one of many who just want a sequel series. Oh well, it's up to Hasbro with what they want to do.
