I would say yes as you most likely have to call in to have them hold it. The Wave that I got was on hold for me at Guest Services.

Hoping to find MP Soundwave, I stopped by the TRU in Hawthorne yesterday. Of course, Soundwave was sold out, but I found a couple of new Construct-Bots in the TF aisle, Wheeljack and Soundwave. SW looked like the better of the two, and I like the idea of these, but I passed on both for now.

They also had a lot of the new Lego wave - the new Chima sets including the Croc Hideout, the big Lion Temple, and the Wolf vehicle that splits up into several other vehicles. All pretty big and expensive. I am seriously tempted to pick up that gorilla mech, especially because it has a banana cannon.

Kind of funny as well - in the Lego aisle of that same store, there was a 'Liquid Metal Edition' Terminator action figure with a label on it saying it was an exclusive from SDCC 2010. So maybe in a couple of years, everyone will have returned their SDCC exclusives back to TRU.

why is it that NorCal is not getting any MP-SW or AS at all???

 

Called Arden and Greenback this morning and neither have new MP's. The guy I spoke to at Greenback said as far as he can see only stores in So Cal have them which makes sense as far as distribution goes I believe the closest TRU distribution warehouse is in AZ so the may be trickling out to the nearest stores for now. Another theory of mine is that maybe these were part of an alotment destined for SDCC last week and didn't make it there in time so they just shipped to the closest TRU's instead.

That's a good theory, certianly makes sense. Unfortunately, this annoys me since I just moved from SoCal to NorCal last month. Bahh!! If only I had the foresight to plan my life around Masterpiece releases

Successfully got MP Soundwave and Acid Storm today at Torrance TRU. Bought the first one actually. Everyone ran to the TF section, and once he wasn't there, I went to CS and asked and he was there. Sold out in minutes of course since there were about 15 people waiting at the door.

 

To absolutely no one's surprise, Burbank TRU had a few boxes each of Acid and SW, and sold out the moment the doors opened. Surprisingly (or perhaps not) Acid survived into the fourth or fifth purchaser in line. Felt bad for one of the guys in the back of the line--he had just moved into the area and learned how things unfortunately work around here.
Myself, I was actually looking for Hoist and Trailbreaker (sorry, I just can't call him by his new name) to no avail. Really was hoping to take advantage of the Bogo and save some money for a change. Well, it worked--I didn't buy anything.  

 

That's the TRU I goto! I am only looking for MP Acidstorm at this point...I was one of the crazy people up at 2:30AM PST and got a MP Soundwave already. I already see crazy amounts of him being posted on Craigslist.....which angers me... 

 

Hmmm, I went on Tuesday and they said they were sold out. So they are already getting 2nd shipments? Just to verify this is the TRU on Sherman Way?

 

Most stores apparently are in fact on their second shipment of them. It's especially bad this week because people are trying to take advantage of the BOGO.

Hopefully that's a good sign that they'll keep getting more in...
