BBTS must have buyer over in HK that can get them a significant number and ship them over. That's a good thing. Could keep long term secondary market prices lower.

to get my stuff at comic con last years I had to wait thrut the line two times. I was up at 3:30 am and in line at 4:00am thursday and friday, thursday they ran out of the transformers toy so i had to go back on friday.

thursday I was in line from 4:00am till 1:00pm

Friday I was in line from 4:00am till 2:30pm

I wish I payed the markup so I could have had two more days at the con.

I feel your pain, my girl and i waited in line at PAX East forever just to get Luigi's Mansion 3ds and a few other trinkets from the Nintendo booth for a few dollars cheaper and days earlier. If she wasn't so stoked for it i wouldn't have bothered, but it took almost 1/4 of the day away from us.

Reading a bunch of stuff about SDCC, it seems like the con is becoming a bigger and bigger mess. There has to be a better way to organize everything, be it the big shops, panels, whatever. Really seems like that convention needs a big organizational shakeup.

Yeah it's nuts. I was in line at 2:30am and lucked out being one of the first into the hts booth. Still, it was 7 hours in line. I got 40 minutes of sleep between waking up friday, going to work all day, driving to SD, waiting in line and then trying to enjoy the con.

I got lots of cool stuff and most of the hot toys, but I didn't enjoy the con nearly as much as I wanted to. Next year I'm doing it differently, or so I tell myself now.

NYCC is the same way. Its so packed you can barely move anywheres from inside or outside the convention. I think you spend more time just trying to get to where you are going than actually doing things.

Seems like all these cons need bigger venues, though that won't help completely solve the issue. Things like buying toys, getting into panels, visiting booths, etc need to be better organized. I'm not sure how you'd do it, but there has to be a way.

NYCC was a lot better. They just gave you that flyer to write down how much you wanted of each item and give it to the person at the register. I waited like 1-2 hours on friday and on saturday there was NO line so I just grabbed another flyer and got seconds xD

I'm actually surprised at how organized it is considering the volume of people.
