UPS does allow you to upgrade to ground shipping. You sign up for the free MyUPS and you can upgrade for $3.50. I as well as a few others on here did that and will be getting are packages a day early. Looks like you missed your chance this time.

 

The background was made by printing out the designs and mounting them on foam board with glue spray. It works great for the masterpieces. I found the designs on another website years ago.

 

yup, at post office. good god they hate me there, so many packages from abroad and in general. hope it makes it here tomorrow!

 

I noticed some people are still saying they are driving around trying to find these. I just talked to a manager at my local Toys R Us and he said "We just got a communication that the masterpiece series will no longer be sold in stores, only online." So when it comes to MP's, don't waste your gas like I just did.

 

I was told they would be both online AND in stores in August. I hate these conflicting reports.

 

I'm gonna say that manager doesn't know what he's talking about. WHich is par for the course with TRU.

 

I have been in Fact been told this by 2 stores in new Hampshire, that due to all the issues, that MPs Soundwave and Acid Storm will be online only. I was told that stock is being moved around, and they should be available online starting the middle of August

 

that translates to the manager and employees will be buying all inventory that arrives before it hits the floor to sell on ebay

Well I spoke to one of the managers today at a Toysrus in KY and he told me they will be getting them in, in about 2 weeks......so idk. He has been right about a lot of the other figures that were coming in and even mp 10 which I could never get as some scalper here was buying the cases the minute they were coming in.

 

and now they are bogo 50 lol

Yea how convenient! I was trying to even pick up another grimwing or 2 and they didn't even have them. I called 3 different toyrus's too....why have a sale when you don't have any of the product other than figures that were released months back?

 

Yes I would have loved to have it like that! They basically made it like the Takara's sigh oh well.

 

TRU always does this. They won't offer BOGO until well after MP exclusives are sold out. Watch the BOGO's disappear as soon as the MPs are restocked (for however briefly they last).

 

Yep, just give it a gew more weeks and see what happens then.

I'm not seeing anything that says "online only". Yes, there's "not sold in stores" but if they don't have any, they can't sell them. And for now, there aren't any to be had anywhere.

I don't know about all the TRUs in KY, but I think the one in Lexington only had one confirmed case come in. At least that was the general idea in the sightings thread. Hopefully, it'll be different with MP-Soundwave and Acid Storm.

 

I can tell you with 100% knowledge and certainty that not a single TRU Masterpiece Soundwave or Acid Storm has been shipped to a brick and mortar store yet.

And for those that think this will be an online only, well.... I don't know what to tell you.

 

Look under How to Get it and store pickup section for Soundwave and it says This item is sold online only (not sold in stores). I don't know if it has always said that or not.

 

Scroll down to "How to Get It" - under "Store Pickup" it says:

This item is sold online only (not sold in stores)​

Don't know how much I trust that, given that they're not in stock at all right now. We'll see come mid-August what the situation is.
