What store did you find Wizard Battle in? Target? This is the only set I haven't spotted in retail at all yet, including TRU.
Target it was, ser. Conversely, I've seen neither hide nor hair of Council of Elrond, regardless of store. Ah, distribution
I quite like Council of Elrond. Sure, we're getting Frodo and Gimli again, but the Elrond and Arwen figs make up for it. And the Rivendell setting is a very nice change from all the gray used for the other sets. I want the Black Gate (actually 2 eventually to make the big gate combo), but $60 seems a little steep to me now. I might pick up the second gate as one of those super-cheap "minifigures removed" partial sets on ebay. Enough people will be pulling out Gandalf the White, Mouth of Sauron, and the Gondor Aragorn I would guess.
Wife found a Monster Fighters Crazy Scientist set in the clearance aisle at Target however it was not stickered and rang up at 70% off. I am assuming this was someones stash that was found because not much other Lego was marked clearance and what was, was only 15% or 30% off
Really hate that they do these Con exclusives but at least this year the only one I really want is black suit Superman
I really want that Amazing Spider-Man, uh, Spider-Man. Here's hoping a similar version will be in an Amazing Spider-Man 2 set.
Built the "Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape" and "Iron Man: Extremis Sea Port Battle" recently and had to make a spot for them: Decided to make a "garage" for them since I already had the Power Rangers MegaBlocks all set up already: And a "Hall of Armour" of sorts for all my Iron Man Minifigures: Also would like to share my "Building Blocks" shelf: The bulk of the lego I own are Bionicles which are unfortunately all boxed as I don't have space to display them.
To those who own Battle of Helm's Deep and Goblin King Battle, would you be able to tell me how deep they are? Like, from the furthest front point (the end of the ramp on Helm's Deep, and the front tip of the right extension of Goblin King when it's in the "proper" configuration), and the most rear point (back of keep with the middle bridge in the right spot for Helm's Deep, and the back of the throne section on Goblin King), please. I'm designing shelves for my LEGO (and various other things too ), and I want to be sure those two sets will fit. The other Lord of the Rings/Hobbit sets don't seem to be as deep as those two, so I'm not all that worried about those. If anybody can do this, thanks in advance! EDIT: Also, how tall is the horn tower on Helm's Deep? I just looked at the image and it looks taller than I had expected...
The ones near me did, but you have to actually look mid-section of the LEGO shelf. The only sets they actually put in a clearance section were the MF Werewolf sets. I didn't even notice the clearanced LOTR sets until I specifically looked through the boxes behind regular priced items. Needless to say, I'm assuming some people may be hiding clearance items behind regular items in hopes of no one finding them.
Anyone seeing any Hobbit sets going on clearance? I'm only seeing certain LOTR sets. It would be nice to get Bag End for a lower price, but that set hasn't been on the shelves for a year like the older LOTR ones.
You knew they were coming, but still cool to see. Comic-Con: LEGO Announces Building Sets and Video Game for The LEGO Movie | Superhero Hype
Like the look of that police car and the villain figures. Good news about Hollywood makeover minifigs too!

okay, i guess that makes up for it, im still gonna redesign the hood tho. maybe a flipping thing so it can just be transformed from one version to another
