Since this is a series that focuses more on the Prime(s) more the other Transformers continuities, even if they can't cover all the Primes, Prima should be mentioned at least once.

For those who doesn't know Prima, he is the first Cybertronian(Transformer) created by Primus, the leader of the Original 13 Primes, and the first wielder of both Star Saber and the Matrix of Leadership. They really should the characters talking about him at some point.

I wished they would delve into the 13 more instead of the relics.

I'm curious about the 13 Primes too. Agree they would be more interesting than the relics!

In all likelihood Hasbro probably didn't want to spoil any of the sales for the Covenant of Primus book due out later.

If that's the case, I hope they will delve into in the next Transformers cartoon, since the book will already be out.

And what shall they do in future serials?
Let us give the fans everything in Prime, and shut down the franchise afterwards :)

Imagine if the Omega Lock completely rebooted Cybertron, Primes and all.

A really insane expansion on that would be that the Omega Lock actively seeks out the best replacements for the original primes and then literally turns them into that Prime. Optimus could become Prima, Predaking could become Onyx Prime etc.

Just thinking aloud with that last bit.

    (1) as has been stated many times, and is posted on transformers news sites with references straight from the producers mouths;
Transformers Prime is NOT about the Primes. The word Prime in the name has nothing to do the the word 'Prime' in transformers culture. Instead it has to do with creating an "Earth Prime", ie the primary central universe out of the multiverse of Transformers. Since it deals with Transformers, its "Transformers Prime" rather than "Earth Prime".

    (2) They just got around to mentioning Primus for the first time 2 weeks ago. You think they're going to get around to mentioning Prima?

Agreed. I wish there was more of the Thirteen in Prime, not their relics besides the important ones like the Star Saber, Forge, Apex Armor and the Phase Shifter.

Josh Keaton's idea of James Earl Jones as Prima and Jeremy Irons as Megatronus still sounds good to me.

There not only needs to be no mention of him, but mentioning him would send the story into navel-gazing rut about the history of Transformers when we don't necessarily need anything like that, and it's something which I still think needs to maintain some measure of mysticism about it. It's one thing to show a few tidbits to keep audience interest, it's entirely another to actually tell the entire story, start to finish, with every minute detail.

There's a reason Tolkien's Silmarillion is an incredibly difficult read and a lot of it is almost superfluous when it comes to reading The Hobbit and LOTR. It has nothing to do with the fact that it's poorly written (the guy's pretty not bad), but more because he goes into laborious detail and explains every single little thing, which he doesn't do in Hobbit and LOTR.

Going into Prima is needless. The only Primes who needed to be mentioned were the ones who directly impacted things and whose ripples are still felt today: Megatronus Prime (due to his namesake) and Solus Prime (due to the Forge). Alpha Trion as well, by virtue of being the only one who bothered sticking around.

I see no reason Prima should be mentioned.

Going by your reasoning, and as I mentioned before, Prima is the original wielder of the Star Saber and The Matrix of Leadership, these two items have some impact in the series, so Prima should be mentioned for his connection to them. Plus, he was the Prime of Primes
