    Strangely enough, the colors for Springer seem to be more on par with Defender

    Wow, I can't believe that the Hasbro versions actually look better than the Takara ones.

    I'm in the "Blitzwing is fine/Springer wathappen" camp as well.

    That's all. Thanks.

    Blitzwing looks cool. Springer wouldve bin nice to see in metallic colors.

    Really want to know why Springer's feet look green in Robot and Helicopter mode but still look grey in car mode?

    Yeah it's too bad they didn't stick to the yellow helmet for Blitzwing and lighter face for Springer. The difference in paint and plastic colors was enough to differentiate the two from the versions, it would've been nice to leave the heads alone. Oh well.

    That was my thought at first glance. While the metallic paint is really it takes away from the overall presentation of the figure.

    I was waiting for the Tak versions but recently said "screw it" and got the Hasbro ones... So glad I did. These aren't the same level of improvement I expect from Takara.

    Do these photos represent the colors correctly? Because everything just looks off compared to the other pictures a while back.

    I'm kinda ok with Springer having more of a military green color than the Hasbro one. But as my wife pointed out after picking up the guy from Botcon, he still looks a John Deere'a'former.

    Ya I agree with some if not most of you here. Blitzwing does look nice, but I am not sure if it is actually better than the Hasbro release. And, Springer (imo) actually looks best in the Hasbro color scheme, the Takara Olive green just looks a bit to dull for me. One of the few times where I actually prefer the Hasbro releases over Takara!!

    Man, you people are weird.

    Hasbro = G1 Toy

    Takara = Cartoon

    Yeah, these look...no. Just no. I have the Hasbro versions of both and I can say that they look far superior. Springer's silver-painted face masks all the details, the green looks wrong and there's too much of it (making him look rather monochromatic), and all of Blitzwing's tan parts look white.

    I'm rather glad that Takara's been slipping so much with their paintjobs as of late, since it makes me feel less silly about my stubborn loyalty to the domestic versions of the toys.

    I guess I'm in the vast minority but I think these look a TON better than Hasbro's offerings. I like the metallic paint and less saturated color pallet that Takara has chosen. As an adult collector I feel that the more subdued pallet is more appealing and "mature" than the garish and obnoxious color schemes that toy companies, in general, use to target 5-8 year-old market. But then, I also much prefer the nice “cold hued” silver paint that Takara tends to use instead of chrome plating. I liked the flashy colors and chrome as a kid but not anymore.

    I actually rather like that Springer. The muted green looks pretty good. Not a fan of metallic Blitzwing, though.

    Blizwing looks ok, but Springer just doesn't do it for me at all. I feel like the more lime green just looks way better.

    Good for Japan for getting these molds
    Good for us that they're not undeniably superior to what we got!

    The big question about the TT Blitzwing is "did they fix the shoulder/arm gap problem?" And if not, why would i pay over double for a figure that is faulty out of the box.

    Paint on both of these looks okay, but I will pass unless the Blitzwing issue has been fixed. Then I might give in...
