I thought it was pretty decent. The cgi didn't look off at all, which is a good thing.

Good, 'cause going back to square one just because a bunch of fanboys don't like anything that's not twenty years old would have pushed this movie way behind schedule.

ILM are doing fantastic work with the directions that they got. All of the staff there are super excited about the film....even the couple I've spoken to that weren't that bothered about it beforehand. They're fully ramped on it now, and FX wise they will knock it out of the park.

The trailer as a whole I like it, bots move like expected, that blackout scene looks like its gonna kick some severe ass. I know its a teaser, but a clearer shot of a full transformation would be nice. This will be so much fun to animate, but I bet the riggers had a nightmare...I feel sorry for Ike.

    Should be cool

Not seeing that exploding metal everyone keeps talking about. There are lots of bits sliding into place, moving around etc, but nothing's actually leaping off the bodies and reattaching itself as far as I can see.

And the movie's real. It's actually happening! I'd let out a "squee!" of excitement but I'm too manly.

The image of parts fly off and reattaching is the mental image I got to when I read “exploding metal” so I’m happy to don’t seem to be seeing that.

I’m going to have to hold opinions until I have watched it a few more times. My first impression was “cool” but not the “I need a time machine so I can see this now” I got from Spider-Man 3’s.

Oh HELL YEAH! That was amazing. Never knew they'd take a darker direction, but it sure fits nicely.

I'm all for this movie now. That's it. I'll be seeing it multiple times.

This movie looks awsome! Anyone know who the robot who comes out of the pool at the end is? I think its Screamer or Ironhide, not sure though.

I'll save my judgement for the actual movie. I thought the Godilla trailer looked good and that movie was goign to be aweseom. How wrong I was...

I'm going to see it as it looks slick and to make up my mind I need to see the whole movie, the robots working in the story and such. I'm slightly dissapointed that the robots from the concept art were not decoys =/

    Whatever...im still kinda exited =D.

Judging by Blackout, they seem to be using the glitchy holographic humans idea from Infiltration.... And yeah the Blackout scene looks like a beauty.

Rest of the trailer is real generic 'world in peril' stuff though. Huge Terminator vibe from the robot designs.

Did get a buzz from the quick shot of Prime with Ratchet driving into frame! That squealing sound effect that went with it was pretty weird though

Yeah, the trailer for The Island made that movie look good too. We all know how well it did in the box office.

Interesting... it doesn't really give me any more information to form an opinion with though. I've decided to reserve judgement on this movie until it actually appears, simply because a few CGI stills, a couple of teasers and reams of heresay and speculation aren't really a solid basis to decide how this will be.

I only hope they avoid the cliche of wrapping everything up nice and neat at the end, with all the Transformers leaving Earth (only to return in the sequel) or have everyone THINK they left, with some kind of ending cliffhanger shot, or something equally dumb. But not knowing the plot (I've intentionally avoided the scripts online) I'll just have to wait and see, won't I?

(As a personal note, those of you who have become morally offended by this movie, I think need to let it go and worry about other things for a while, at least until the movie comes out. This isn't Passion of the Christ people.)
