Soundwave definitely has the cerebro cortex of the group. Man I surprise Soundwave is not Second In Command.

 

Pfff, Soundwave was always hyped up to be this powerful.

He takes down Aracnind, one of the more powerful fighters in 3 seconds.

 

Nooo, youll brew up last weeks storm

 

If this was G1, the Decepticons would find the base and just leave it alone.

 

That or the Autobots would start attacking and they'd retreat.

I DID this was it's second chance. It ruined it. Lord I hope we find out the next series got rid of everybody involved with this mess. I know it won't, but i can dream.

 

Personally, I thought Soundwave talking was a letdown. So easy for them to just have Welker do his Claw voice and throw in a movie quote. All for him to break his vow of silence.

However, I don't think it's anything to pull the ruined forever alarm over. It disappointed me, but I think quitting the show over it is a bit silly. Just my opinion.

 

Optimus is saying the Transformers equivalent of "Think of the Children".

Oh and was it really to hard to think the Autobots might be at the only Military base in the area ?

I actually didn't hear soundwave talk the first time I watched it  

 

He may not be a warrior, but "Darkness Rising" and "Stronger, Faster" shows that he at least has SOME skill other than just shaking in his boots.

 

I gotta admit to. I mean it's a cool thing we actually see Soundwave have some power behind him. Seeing how in past incarnations, it was his spy ability and his minions which made him dangerous. But since we only have Laserbeak, they gotta up his combat skills. But even when he loses, he wins! It makes me laugh honestly. Dude is probably on the low the most powerful character in Prime. Dude hasn't lost a fight yet.

WHO VOICED HIM?

 

Any disappointment I had over him using that line to speak was erased by the fact that Soundwave trolled Optimus Prime to his face with a remix of his question and a smiley face.

 

Soundwave didn't break his vow of silence. My theory is that he did speak, but deleting all his information also included his memory, meaning that he essentially backdated to a point before he made his vow of silence. Once Laserbeak rejoined him, he regained all of his old data from a backup on Laserbeak.

 

It doesn't "ruin" anything, but it's painfully boring, that everyone ever had the foresight to predict that that was probably gonna be his one line. It's just... why? Why that line? I don't mind him saying something finally, and hell, I don't mind it being his G1/ROTF voice. But it's such a... dumb thing to say, he'd might as well have not said anything. It doesn't leave any impression other than "wow, look guys, they referenced the '86 movie! Get it? Get it? It's funny 'cause, see, G1 Soundwave said it to the G1 Constructicons back then and now they're using the exact same line but with 'Constructicons' replaced with 'Autobots'! How clever are they?"

 

It sounded like Frank Welker's Soundwave voice to me.

It was probably the only sure way to get to Ratchet and the Synth-En formula.

 

Totally agreed. I love Soundwave, but his power is too menacing. I would've been okay if he showed some sort of difficulty when fighting with BH, but man that was tooooo easy!

And OMG, yes, Frank Welker reprising Soundwave, I could not be any more pleased than I am right now. Glorious.
