What about club members that are willing to submit stories or profiles for FREE? It would give club members a chance to have some of their stuff to be Hasbro approved and it wouldn't cost the club a cent if online content.

 

How many years does Machine Wars take place after the G1 cartoon?

 

Machines wars follows G2
meaning G2 happened first
but the recent MW toys doe ssay something, still Im glad to have the G1 universe mapped out so we can have a solid idea from G1 to Beast Machines
an dit was stated that they MW toys were set after g2 in the wings universe...

 

"Rainmakers" is more marketable I presume.

 

It's wonderful that the prose stories are returning!  

Now, when will they release "Ultimate Salvation"? I'm still waiting to find out what the deal with Jetstorm is, not to mention all the other mysteries that Shattered Glass built up.

Also, I'm still waiting for the script readings from 2011 and 2012 to be uploaded online, as promised.

It's also great news that they're finally, considering, accepting stories from the fandom. I don't see why they didn't do so before; as long as the stuff is checked over, well-written, and unoffensive, the more Transformers stories published, the better!   Personally, I've had a story idea floating around I'd love to submit; I'm certain lots of other people do too!

I actually enjoyed reading this panel. I feel validated for having dedicated my bottom shelf of my third gorilla shelf to GoBots now lol. Got myself 80+ gobots thePuzzler combiner the command center MIB and 4 super Gbots. Might hit up the eBay this weekend and finish of that collection. I hope they are used in the fic as ridiculous cannon fodder  What can I say, it's a love/hate relationship.

 

FunPub has to pay a license to Hasbro and has to get legal approval for everything. By definition, it's no longer fanfic.

 

its official, yes, but its just so bland and boring and literally has no pull on anything when it comes to the lore of transformers, that its literally just fanfiction made official since its made by the club

 

Yeah, official doesn't mean good. But that's as much on Hasbro as it is FunPub.

And on the flipside there's fanfic that can be really good, but doesn't fit into the continuity.

 

So does this mean they've hinted next years set to be GoBots???? If so count me in!!!!

Yes and yes. The prose stories can have a lot more "substance" than the Club Comics (well, the Club Comics are very limited in size). I usually like the Club fiction, my complaint with the Comics is that they are too short and the last chapter needs to have a lot of things happening to end the story. Not a problem in prose stories.

Let's hope the script readings got uploaded soon.

 

I hate to be grumpy, but I agree. I was fine with WoH, because they're not treading over anything. But with G2/MW, I understand they want to do something other that repeat the G2 Marvel comic, but, well, I don't like what they've done.

All this clone stuff? Blech. I want them to be who they're supposed to be.

But I'm glad to hear about the return of the Gobots. I loved that first story, and I always wondered what happened to those guys. Set in the Classics-verse, eh? Not a happy ending for them, I guess.
