Just wondering, is the SDCC the only place to get the sdcc titan metroplex exclusive or will BBTS or even hasbrotoyshop.com sell them online as well?

I totally get that. I saw people last year lugging around the helicarriers. That made wading through crowds "fun."

    ???

    Come again?

BBTS will definitely get some of the SDCC exclusives in; unfortunately, like the Botcon exclusives, there will be a markup of unknown amount and they will only get a certain amount in. I think the Bruticus exclusive last year sold out quickly on BBTS despite its markup.

HTS will sell the extra SDCC exclusives, but as many hear can attest, it's a bitch to get into the site, purchase everything you want and make it through without the site crashing on you or losing stuff because they sell out in the blink of an eye.

HasbroToyShop will sell any extras left from SDCC a few days after the convention. If BBTS has any, they went there and bought them, or bought them off of HTS, so there will be markups on those. The ones from HTS, if any available, will be at about the same price as what they sold at SDCC

Meh, I can live with a retail Metroplex, especially since I'm betting a third party will make a Six-gun add-on.

I know everyone hates Action Masters, but if Hasbro was intent on a static Classics set why not just reissue them? This is my feverish fanboy pitch along these lines. Total fantasy:

    - Legends 'Thrilling 30' 10 pack
    - same five characters
    - includes reissues of Action Masters for BB, SS, Prime, Megs, Grimlock (co-sell for 30th)
    - include their current Generations Legends class analogs (Metroplex co-sell)
    - as Grimlock doesnt have a Legends figure yet, use the set to announce a previously unknown upcoming figure making THAT deco exclusive to the set
    - include IDW Regeneration One #81 because it features Grimlock and ties in to Nucleon/Action Masters (IDW co-sell)

    BAM Hasbro!! Hire me!

I might jump on that Shockwave lab set if it lasts for more than 5 minutes on HTS. Not going to be stalking like I was last year for Bruticus.

And there is the chrome Metroplex we were looking for.

Too bad, I liked the chrome, but exclusive as always.

Meh. Most of these figures are FAIL. All of them are except Metroplex IMO. If the thrilling 30th was so special, then Hasbro should've offered a set of G1 reissues instead of transformers that can't transform. As for shockwave, all I need is a clear plastic cup and bam, there's the cloning chamber.

Though I realize some of the Thrilling 30 figures are out already, you do realize that as well that Hasbro could just wait and do something for the anniversary at SDCC next year, during the actual anniversary?

As for reissues though...considering how many complaints arise when the "Big 4" reissues are cranked out again (Prime/Megs (for Japanese releases)/Soundwave/Starscream), I don't know if reissues would be well-received ("Optimus AGAIN?!?" complaints) unless it's something we haven't seen before or seen in a while.

I'm curious about this now as well. It seems like an odd thing to offer at retail at that size, let alone as an exclusive.

Very meh. If Metroplex isn't crazy expensive I'll try to get one from HTS. But I know I ain't spending the hours I spent last year for Bruticus.

The rest of it is a very, very easy pass.

That's a good point about the reissues and it's a real shame, because I would enjoy collecting brand new G1 dinobots instead of suffering through FOC grimlock.

Just Metroplex (probably) and Boba Fett for me from Hasbro this year. Not that that won't keep me busy enough anyway.

I appreciate what they're doing with the anniversary figures, but the execution just isn't there for me. I think those will be the product that sticks around a few days or weeks, this year, even if they're inexpensive.

I'll be curious to see how those mini-figures scale to the boss coffee ones.

Shame Shockwave is lacking his Beast Hunters armour parts. I hope they are included anyway. even if not shown... even if they stick them in a bag inside the box rather than show them off.

I'd like another set as I think you can mount more armour on him than he comes with.

It would be nice to be able to buy those gestation chambers separately so you can put the (Terrorcon) Predacons in them too. and make a hall of armour type display.

Shockwave's Laboratory set actually looks awesome. I love Shockwave's deco scheme. If i didn't already own him i'd buy that. I don't care for the Clear Predaking, because if how easy it could break.

    Pass on the rest.

Yep, I'd LOOOOOOOOOVE Dinobot reissues (those would actually be some that would excite the fanbase AND have some mass market appeal) but I don't know if Hasbro would do them. There's been rumors of Dinobot reissues for a couple years now from Takara's end (and not necessarily "he tell me" talk either, from what I've gathered) but nothing's come of it, unfortunately.

Your guess is as good as anyone's. Start from the Monday after SDCC through that week. I don't know the latest exclusives have been posted after SDCC but I can't imagine it being more than a week after, at worst.
