Which trilogy is Better that the Transformers

    Uh, they were connected. Megs was revived from his death in TF1, the shard of the Allspark was used. Then DOTM Optimus has the Matrix and Megs is injured.

    They draw on previous movies, so they are a trilogy.

    Don't fall out of your chair but I'm going to completely agree with you.

    Not only do you have those factors but in Dark of the Moon it's pretty much a plot point that back in the first movie the reason Megatron needed the All Spark was to revive Sentinel Prime. That's a pretty strong connection between the first and third films since it answers the big question of just what Megatron was going to do if he had gotten his hands on the All Spark.

    Plus Sam talks about saving the world before which the viewer would not know unless they had watched the previous films.

    Yes sure the films could be watched as just stand alone films, but I think you are right that the films are connected enough to be considered a proper trilogy.

    For me, it would be Lord of the Rings, and the original Star Wars.

    Subject matter is a big factor for me, and since I'm not too fond of Batman and pirates, the Dark Knight and Pirates of the Caribbean sagas aren't high in my estimation.

    If any Trilogies is better than The TF Trilogy, the only ones that come to mind are

    Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy
    Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings Trilogy
    The Original Star Wars Trilogy

    and that's about it, really. :p

    Does watching the 1986 Transformers animated movie three times count? :p 

    But yeah, already a lot of really good examples in this thread.

    Of course it's all opinions. What's better for one person won't be for another.

    Plus, nobody mentioned some of the better 'adult' movie trilogies... :p
