    the real strange thing about people thinking these are Power Rangers-like, is that there hasn't been a Megazord/Mecha that was made up of vehicles that turn into robots as well AND limbs since... Ohranger/PR Zeo!! So I don't know how this resembles ANYTHING Power Rangers in the last 16 years since Zeo happened :(  :S

    They sure do as the design do spot similar look to Sentai beside Brave.

    Agree except that this is 3 in 1 unlike the Energon which is 2 in 1.

    I can't understand why so many guys are hating "Japanese-style"...:confused: 

    Transformers are made/created by Takaratomy. So, Takaratomy's all Transformers ARE "Transformers".

    Actually its Carranger/PR Turbo. Even then theres been a lot of singular transforming robots throughout Super Sentai's toyline. They just happen to be the powerup mushrooms. Whereas in Brave nearly everything transforms. The only exceptions being the Leader's support mechas.

    Yes. I really dont get how they're 'not transformers'. If you compare Movie aesthetics to Animated. Nothing alike. What makes these guys 'not transformers'?

    The proportions on these are pretty bad imo. Most notably the waist-less yellow jet thing. Fire truck looks decent, and cop car is kibblelicious.

    I'm more excited about the Ninja Team now.

    please stop calling them 'japanese style' the mechs/robots from different companies and toy lines have different aesthetics. transformers don't look like power rangers, don't look like gundams, don't look like evangelion, don't look like votoms, don't look like sakura war, maybe alittle brave because of the remolds, but pretty much none of the toy lines look like each other. there's no one encompassing 'japanese-style', ugly bots are ugly bots, they don't get a pass just because they were made by japanese company. these guys pretty much looked like they were meant to be a separate toy line that got shoehorned into the transformers brand because the beast hunter show is only 13 eps with small amount of new toys and takara needed something to fill the line until the new movie's out.

    maybe because the type of combination gimmicks the waistless-ness is for poseability in several modes, if they did give them a waist, it might ended up being a unposeable G1 era brick or something, unless they made another "show accurate" version or class that has an actual waist?
