I love the BH Starscream mold, but since I already have FE Starscream, I decided to make a Prime/Aligned Airazor, blending elements from her various incarnations (BW, Armada, Timelines). The head came from PCC Sledge, modified to fit the smaller ball joint on Starscream. It’s not really that similar to any previous Airazor head, but it looked cool, avian, and feminine to me, so I went with it; maybe in Prime, she joins a clan of ninjas or Daft Punk or something. Her thruster/tailfin, talons, and “beak” are bashed out of styrene and model parts. The thruster/tailfin pegs into the default jet-mode exhaust, either arm, or on her back for storage. Like BW Airazor’s tail, the tailfin assembly becomes a photon cannon and melee weapon (in this case, an energy lance). Her talons mount on each forearm. One talon can also store on her back. In jet mode, the talons peg to the bottom of the fuselage. The green sensor eyes point downward, underlining Airazor’s reconnaissance role. I got lucky with a near perfect match on the yellow paint, allowing me to give the overall color scheme more unity. Metallic paints and dye did the rest. Starscream’s original base color was already close to what I wanted, so painting was really more of a touch-up job.
WOW! Well done! I really like how you tied her function/battlefield role into the design choices you made--way to think outside the box. This is everything I love in a good custom--creative, original, and well executed. Bravo!
^This Instead of beast hunters starscream it would have been nice to get a slipstream. Easily one of the best customs using this mold. Awesome job!
