    Hi everyone,

I was thinking about getting Fall of Cybertron finally. I wasn't overly thrilled with the first one but I'm kind of in the mood to play a Transformers game again. I looked at all of the DLC for the Xbox and I was wondering, is all of that neccessary? There's tons of parts and weapons in there, probably several thousand MS Points worth in just weapons and parts, to say nothing about the character packs. Do I actually have to go download all of it or can I unlock it all through gameplay? And if I can't unlock it all, what can't I get through normal gameplay and what can't I? Thanks for reading and I appreciate any clarification you guys can give me.

You can unlock a majority of it just by playing multiplayer and getting energon, and spending that energon on either parts or whole characters. Also some of those parts unlock when you reach a certain level or when you unlock prime mode. The dlc is cool to look at but it is purely aesthetic. Running around as a triceratops is pretty fun experience though.

Damn. I was hoping I wouldn't need live. I used to have it but don't play any games online anymore. But all the DLC is for multiplayer anyway isn't it? If I remember right, they took out the local multiplayer, does that still hold true?

Not exactly. There is a DLC pack that gives you G1 Optimus in single player and multiplayer as well as G2 Bruticus and two weapons. I can't remember what it is called but there is some single player DLC.

But the other packs, like Dinobots, Hound, Wheeljack etc. that's all multiplayer only right?

Yup, that's right. And the DLC pack that comes with G1 Prime is still mainly for multiplayer.

I suppose I could just go with the PS3 version. That might be the better choice since it's free and I might actually play the multiplayer on the PS3.

Yeah, the three DLC packs are:

    - Multiplayer Havoc: the parts of Ultra Magnus, Wheeljack, Perceptor, Blast Off and Zeta Prime for multiplayer character customisation
    - Dinobot Destructor: the parts of Grimlock, Swoop, Sludge and Slug/Slag for multiplayer character customisation
    - Massive Fury: the parts of Hound, Hardshell/Bombshell, Sharpshot/Shrapnel, Kickback and G1 Optimus Prime for multiplayer character customisation, G1 Optimus Prime and G2 Bruticus for single player, and the Throwback Blaster (G1 Megatron's alt mode) and Sling Shock (FOC Shockwave's arm-gun) for single player.

All of this content is available only through the DLC.
