No, it's very real. I picked mine up today and it has the issue. Peaughs fix doesn't work and if I pinch the figures torso, it will hold then so I can move the arm.

IMHO, to the OP, if you're asking because you don't know, get Springer.

How about both? Although, I will admit from just first impressions that Springer has the edge.

What fix? You mean the one that only works on some of them? If there needs to be a "fix," then there's still an issue.

Get both. Until they make a new Astotrain, I'm not opening Blitzwing.

Why I put it 'fix' in quotation marks is because I suspect it's not really a fix, it's actually the proper transformation. The fact that it don't work on some leads me to believe it's more of a QC issue. It's just all IMO though. :)

My Blitzwing's shoulders just refuse to tab in place but I couldn't care less because he's an amazing figure and gives some real bulk to my Decepticon ranks.

Saying that, I got Springer too and he looks awesome - I just love his colours.

But to the OP, if I already had Warbot and could only afford one figure, I'd go Blitzwing. The shoulder 'issue' isn't really an issue at all once you have him in hand.

Blitzwing for me. I used the 'shave 1/3 millimeter of plastic from the torso' fix and it works a lot better than the out of the box state.

    Get Springer, Warbot or not.

Blitzwing is crap. He's pure frustration in a box. Nothing stays together securely, except the parts that ought to move freely.

Blitzwing is cool, but please do yourself a huge favor and get springer. I have FP springer and he's good, but the voyager really blows him away in all departments

If you're going to get both anyway, get Blitzwing first. That way, if you get a bum figure, you'll have your expectations lowered for Springer. Getting Springer first will probably make Blitzwing seem worse than he really is, as he's actually a pretty great figure with some ambitious design, but questionable plastic tolerances.

If you're just getting one... get Springer.

Yes and no, Defender has that beefier I'm going to fuck you up look, where Springer has a leaner more agile fighter look

I bought Springer first. He's as good as they say he is. Really.

    Both.

I know that's not a helpful answer, but you really want both of these in your collection. Springer is the better figure, but Blitzwing is just so ambitious, you can't help but love him despite the flaws. He's a really fun figure and looks a lot more different in his 3 modes than Springer does.

I say Springer is the better of the two, but once I got him in a cool pose with the rest of my Wreckers, he's kinda just sat on the shelf looking awesome. I've transformed and reposed Blitzy so often I've lost count.

If you only buy one, you'll probably end up regretting not getting the other. So just get both.

received them today from Amazon. Blitzwing has issue with the shoulders... but Springer is flawless... I would go with Springer.

Get both at once In my opinion, I really enjoyed blitzwing with some simple fixes, but both are great figures

I almost passed on Blitz when I saw him in Target due to the shoulder issue and rubber nosecone - both of which are valid issues - but I'm glad I picked him up. He's just a fun figure to play around with.

Now Springer, that was no question. That figure rocks hardcore and is a dead ringer for LSoTW Springer.

Springer is more fun right out of the box. Picked up Blitzwing today and I have all the issues with him. Still a good figure, but have to work on him.
