So, when they redeco the TF4 Bumblebee toy into the obligatory Stealth Strike Bumblebee, will he be...yellow with black stripes? I'm so confused.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but Bay's website says 67 Camaro. I'd accept that it is a purer form, but I'd argue the 70s version is the more iconic. It's unmistakeable. There's something instantly recognizable about it... like a Pacer or a Gremlin or something. I find the 60s version that bit more anonymous, and like so many other muscle cars of the era. But I can understand it being the more appealing model for collectors. There's more of a timeless quality about it. Which brings me to some speculation. Maybe (in much the same way as the 70s Camaro was aimed at a kid on a budget), Bumblebee adopts this mode to appeal to Mark Wahlberg or Jack Reynor's character.
Shouldn't this picture be news since its new? if Lockdown is in this I'll guess thats Bulkhead. Also not 100% sure but it looks like some sort of silver car and/or lightbars behind him which is probably Ratchet and Sideswipe
I'm not fully opposed to his new look, but it makes no sense. Why would Bee go from a 2012 Camaro to a 1967 Camaro? Especially since he started out as an older generation. Oh well, hopefully he still kicks ass
Instead of hating this movie for what it lacks in Transformerdome I decided to like it for the vehicles it is using so far. "The disconnect is complete." I wish the movies started this way instead of being GM commercials.
I actually kind of like the fact that Bumblebee gets a slight downgrade in look cause hopefully it means he won't be the entire movie this time around. Don't get me wrong I like bumblebee a lot but hopefully they will focus on the other autobots this time around and not just him.
After some thinking, I wanna make a prediction. Of course these are bay movies, so I may be giving them too much credit, but... His alt mode was changed after he met Sam, and Mikaela made a comment about his appearance. Now that Sam's gone, his alt mode may remind him of his friend, so he changed it back to something pre-Sam. Who knows.
This altmode is hardly 'pre-Sam' though. Bee's original mode was a really beat up 74 Camaro, which is considered a weak model (or at least, that's what I've been told). The one he currently has is vintage, but highly regarded. He's no longer a modern Camaro, but this is hardly a downgrade in most people's eyes. Of course, we have to wait and see how the movie will play out. For all we know it's just a temporary scan or paintjob...
I would imagine so. They did touch upon Mikaela leaving. Likely something to do with re-location, either because of Carly or the government.
That was my mistake, I quoted you and then I guess somehow messed up my messege. so it quoted me as you. Im not sure how but I saw it too and was like I do have to say the older camaro Bee is more "bad ass" than the new Camaro represents. on many levels the older Camaro is less refined ( in a good way) and more just raw power as opposed to limited slip diffs and traction control and all the stuff that helped remove that "feel the road" way driving used to be. . Maybe this bee Is more Bad ASS!
A story on Jalopnik is claiming that the production ripped off the design of Bumblebee: http://jalopnik.com/did-transformers-4-rip-off-this-guys-design-for-the-ne-510655228 The designs are quite similar. But as a car guy, it's hard to find something that HASN'T been done to a 67 Camaro.
