I did kind of word it unclearly in the initial post, but to clarify, this version has the fixed shoulders. This was always intended to be a fully finished preview run, the same way we got the Awakening version of the Airborne Squad Mold. The first couple of tests for this grey version were run and the shoulder issue was discovered, and fixed, before this limited run went into full production. The shoulder issue is not present on this Super Nova version, just as it will not be present on the full color run.

It just slides on and stays on with friction, but it stays on quite securely and is done in such a way that the paint on the eyes doesn't suffer from any rubbing.

He can hold them easily with the hubcaps facing the inside of his arms, it's a little tricker with the hubcaps facing the other way due to the curve of the blade.

The intent was always that this was to be a full production preview release, just as Awakening was. These aren't just QC run test shots being packed and sent out.

 

Oh, also, in regards to the loose gun pegholes in gun mode, there are two little screws right near that peghole. Tightening those significantly improved the hold there. I now have no looseness issues pegging the guns in there.

I can't decide whether to get the limited version or painted version.

 

As kick ass as the limited version is (not to mention its 2nd hand market value), I still want the painted version. If funds permit, I may get this limited one. But main focus is painted ...

 

that does nothing for me. rarity isn't enough to make me want an expensive underpainted figure. I do love the look of they grey prototypes though.

im saving my money for the great shot repaint. I think 2 of the mold will be enough.

Oh man, I really can't wait for the official version to be released now that I've seen Peaugh's review. Really is an outstanding figure and I can't wait to have it in hand in it's official colors.

Peaugh, is there any die cast in the figure/do you know if there will be any in the official release?
