Ignore the head (was testing something out whilst waiting for the Superion head to land) but he holds the Ultra Leader gun perfectly. I'm gonna have a go at modding it into the white Magnus gun I think:



Head wise I've decide I'm gonna trasnplant the Superion face into the G1 Magnus helmet....best of both worlds then as the face itself is very cartoon Magnus IMHO.

I've been asked to show the rear and the inside pegs that clasp onto Magnus. I have taken this pic of the rear of the figure on the config I've decided works best:



I'll get a pic of the armour without Magnus in it when I get more of a chance (probably when I'm finished tbh).

 

Might I make another suggestion?

Take the other pair of white leg flaps/ramps that you will have from the other trailer and add the to the existing ones to lengthen the appearance of the boot.

 

The proportions are great on this! I may have to revisit my magnus custom and do something similar.
I bought some of those guns for my combiner customs.. I reckon they will be a bit too big for ur custom.

 

Hmmm interesting suggestion...I kinda dig that you see some of Magnus's legs underneath tho. Something I'll look at tho. Ta!

Update time!

New head (G1 Superion face in G1 Magnus helmet), feet now boxed in:



Only issue are the feet are wide now so having him stand to attention is difficult. I need to weigh up wether to keep them on and have him in action poses or remove them, styrene them instead and have him to be able to stand to attention aswell.

What are your guys thoughts?

 

I kinda like the new feet but then at the same time i kinda don't .

I think the new face is better but is still to short in my opinion , along with that part of the helmet .

I do like how you have mounted your upper body higher than I did on my because it makes his arms less like a gorilla BUT with you using the stock chest piece you can see straight though and it looks kinda funny to me . When the upper body is mounted flat with the top of UM truck the windows line up perfect .

I'm thinking of mounting mine up higher like yours because I like what it dose for the arms but it makes him taller and I really like him how tall he is now and I like the way I have the lower legs mounted on mine.......

 

I really like the new head and his chin sticks out no more than MP09 so I'm cool with that. You do have a good point with the chest holes tho....I will probably styrene them up so it's all closed off.

I just can't decide on those extra feet bits.......

 

I'd go without the extra feet parts , they make it where you can tell he can't close his legs and if you know UM you know there extra bits with no where to go in alt mode.

And as far as the head ..if your happy that's all that matters really .

 

Not feelin the extra feet parts, but the head is cool. But as alloy alchemist said, as long as you're happy, that's what counts.

 

I'm not either...I've been posing and standing back, posing, standing back and it's just not working for me....so a few mins later, a little bit of styrene on the head and I think you are right AA:



Gonna paint the extra pieces and fill in with epoxy in the morning to give him a slightly fuller/older face. I'm also gonna fill in the chest holes.....next update will be when they are done and the gun arrives. Should be finished then!

 

That looks a whole lot better dude ! The head dosen't look out of place now and the feet look better that way in my opinion .

I need to figure out how to ball joint the shoulders but still have them tuck back in so they work for alt mode . That shoulder articulation is the hot ticket my Ultra Magnus is missing !

What paint are you using for the teal/light blue ? If I can't come up with a good match without mixing , I think I'm gonna go with the movie color blue .

Yeah in your case the inner feet parts are not really working,
but I would advice 2 trace them on a piece of styrene board...
I think you'll be more than happy if you can close up
