Alt modes may not be perfect, but they work pretty well with bases, IMO:

I'm assuming you had a promo code or credit or something. I've been watching the price like a hawk and never saw it drop.

Watch for Amazon's "Warehouse Deals" division to occasionally list one in "Used-Like New" condition. I have bought a lot of items from them in this condition and the item always arrives in new condition. From what I can tell, Amazon never lists a returned item as new. Instead, they always sell returns as "Used-Like New" when they are new and unused (box might have a broken seal, but that is the worst case scenario for this condition), or they will list opened returns in varying used conditions based on appearance.

Thanks for the suggestion. There was one listed today as "Used-Good" which mentioned a damaged box. For $81 it seemed like a worthwhile gamble. At the very least it has a 30 day return guarantee so I really have nothing to lose except the time to return it if I'm not happy.

That probably means you're going to get a new in box, damaged box unit! They are very good about offering great quality stuff for a nice discount. I got mine today, and it was just what I expected. New in the box w/cardboard ties still in place, box opened. Since I planned to open it anyway, it was nice to save $14 :)

I got mine today from BBTS. I had no idea he would be so massive.

Awesome toy. Takes my breath away.

Just out of curiosity, why order from BBTS when Amazon offers free shipping?

My warehouse deal Omega Supreme arrive today. As expected the box was a bit beat up as you can see in the pics, but the figure is brand new. I didn't want to pay full price for a slightly gimped figure (no headmaster or electronics), but he is definitely looking pretty good for $81 shipped. Now to figure out where to put him...

So I was fiddling around with him this morning, and notice that the carrier cannons seem to be improperly attached. The cannon on the front has guns that can be freely raised and lowered on the hinge, while the next cannon is gimmicked to raise and lower while being rotated. An identical cannon is located on the very back except the base it is attached to cause the guns to be permanently raised. It seems like the back and front cannon should be swapped. Is there a way to do this easily? They don't seem like they just pop out. :(

Edit: About 40 minutes with a Phillips head screwdriver later, and I managed to swap the gun turrets. A bit of a pain, but at least that gimmick works now. Speaking of gimmicks, has anyone tried putting the electronics from the Energon version into this one?

That seems to be an issue with the entire production run of YOTS Omega Supreme. A quick swap of the arm and leg turrets does the trick :)  As for putting the electronics in him, I'm looking for a cheap incomplete or damaged Energon Omega just for that purpose but no luck so far.

Size wise how does Omega compare to MP-10? Anybody able to snap a quick picture?

My Hasbro MP-10 is still in its box, but here you go! (Sorry for the flash reflection, but it was too dark otherwise.)

Silly question, before I take him out and go looking all over..

Where are the missiles in the box? Are they behind the figure?
I haven't taken him out of the box yet but I don't see them anywhere

    Thanks!

Another Johnny-come-lately posting. YOTS Omega arrived today, just in time for Christmas Eve. I only regret that I didn't get this sooner. I'm as much a G1 purist as anyone else, but this toy is completely satisfying, from both a G1 perspective and from a pure toy perspective--the simplicity, quality, and robustness (and heft!) are exactly what I look for in a modern Transformer, and what I feel have been missing in a lot of modern TFs.

I had an eye on Genesis, but the proportions and general look are so much better (no chicken legs, no stupidly huge claw/cannon). As far as the overall shape and design, it feels way more accurate to the spirit of G1 Omega than Genesis. And at a third of the cost, it feels like a steal.

Probably the most satisfying TF purchase I've had in a long time.

I would love for MakeToys kit to come out as well, though I'm not sure how the wings would clip in exactly--there don't appear to be too many spots that could hold them.
