Looking forward to this issue. Why are Tailgate and Swerve so tall though?

Milne's not on this issue. It kind of bugs me too but the writing, even in these few pages, is awesome.

    Ah, I gotcha!

Is Cliffjumper in his GDO body on the first page?

Man, I used to hate Alex Milne's art because it was so cluttered. Just goes to show how far he's come from his early days - now I shudder whenever someone else takes over art duties - it just isn't the same (and I say this even when Guido Guidi, one of my favorite TF artists took sub duties a few issues ago). Milne has really put his stamp on MTMTE.

Ten bucks says Domey's erasing all his memories of Rewind, or at least everything from the last few months.

Damn, I cannot wait for this issue. Art doesn't bother me as much as previous other artists, but I do want Milne back. Oddly enough, it got a ton better after the flashbacks. Still wonky, but at least it looked normal (aside from scale).

How can he? Both of his arms are gone. I think he may have asked for the one that didn't got chopped off by the cell door to be removed due to guilt, but I doubt he'd erase his own memories.

From the looks of it, this is just a while after they jettisoned Overlord. I don't think Ratchet and crew would have the time to entertain a request to remove an arm. Their job is to fix/heal, not mutilate them further. Anyway the art isn't clear either, but Chromedome could just have one arm bent.

You're right on the timeframe. Maybe, if it is indeed gone... maybe he removed it himself?

Would be interesting if he did - and maybe going towards partial empurata - a bit of irony considered he was involved in the Institute's practices of empurata/shadowplay.

You can see in the second to last panel that he has his other arm.

He's still got his one arm, you can see it in the previous panel. But man does he give me the creeps.

I'm not sure I want him to turn around. I'm not sure if I want to read this. This comic got really dark really fast and I don't know if I can continue. I'm not very capable of dealing with horror or gore and creepy things, and this is leaning that way and yeah.

I dunno man. I used to be really excited when the issues came out. I'm not feeling that right now.

Ah right. I wasn't actually sure that was Chromedome given how the orientation of the panel basically flips around in the next one. Does look like him since he's missing the correct arm.

I'm don't think MTMTE is really leaning towards horror or gore as you say. Sure there's graphic violence, but it's not really Mature Readers material like some of the Walking Dead stuff. I still think some of the DC stuff is way more over the top than this. Overlord's rampage was relatively tame compared to the stuff that happened in Last Stand of the Wreckers. There's an upsurge in drama, but I think Roberts seems to know when to put in a little levity to balance everything.

Maybe it's just late and I'm over thinking things then. I'm still not enjoying this particular arc nearly as much as the previous ones. Killing Rewind (and by extension eventually Domes) really hurt my enjoying the series. I really liked their portrayal and their relationship. If this takes Chromedome somewhere interesting it might make up for it, but I was kind of attached to Rewind. Maybe it's not so bad. I had a bit of a rough day today, so I'm not feeling particularly positive about anything. I'll have another look in the morning.

These are the only comics I read. Other than Transformers and watching Star Trek with my mum when I was little, I have very little interest in sci-fi. I'm knowledgeable in some things because I know people who are. But me? Nuh uh. Just Transformers. This is my first ongoing. And yeah, LSotW was messed up, sure. But we didn't have a year to warm up to the Wreckers before Overlord kicked the shit out of them. They were safe for like half the first issue.

Ever since the Necrobot's list in issue 8, it's hard to pick favourites and enjoy them along the way since most of them will end up dead and you know it.

Hate to repeat what's always said when that panel's brought up, but that's assuming that that was actually the Necrobot and that that was actually a list of the dead, etc., etc.

This might be deserving of a different thread, but how would you all feel if Rewind were recovered/partially recovered and "saved" by becoming a headmaster for Chromedome?

With this whole Institute/Emptura shadow still looming, maybe Chromedome loses his head, Rewind's battered corpse gets recovered, a viola.

Too obvious, not needed, or epic?

I'd like to see some Headmasters in IDW again, but honestly I'd like to see them with their original Nebulan partners.

Those Nebulans had really great bios on the whole and were designed to have really great conflict/interaction/dynamics with their TF partners. I love what the Marvel comics did with them on the whole but other than Zarak they never really got the room to live up to their potential.

-ZacWilliam, so I would certainly take Rewind becoming Chromedomes Master partner, and I love Rewind, but I'd rather see the ship stop by Nebulos, see how it's doing after Thunderwing and bring Stylor and company on board. I realize that likely has little chance of happening though.

Haven't the Nebulons been pretty much wiped out in IDW? Unless they meet up with a rag tag bunch of survivors.

    No.

Thunderwing rampaged on the planet for awhile but there's no indication he genocided the whole species or anything. Sure he certainly killed some, possibly a lot, but not necessarily any more than the Cons killed in All Hail Megatron and the Human race is just fine.

-ZacWilliam, can certainly see them not being very TF-friendly after that though. A Nebulan TF hunting crew might be a way to bring them back into the story.

Oooh, me likey that idea. Maybe they could have developed their own type of Transector technology, or maybe they could be along the lines of The Headmaster from Animated and forcibly take over Cybertronian bodies. That's an idea I really liked, even if the actual character was on the annoying side.
