Holy hell. I'm really impressed. I never thought the mold would do him justice, but I think that they worked it out quite nicely. To bad hes not official though. (Why is it that I'm ok with third party TF's, and not unofficial convention exclusives?! }':/ Ponderous...)

 

Yeah, I don't understand that logic at all, since anything made by someone other than Hasbro is simply "unofficial". To me, it just depends upon how well done it is or not.  

 

Yeah, its a wonky way of thinking for sure. I guess My thought on it is if an unofficial convention exclusive was done by an established third party (like the older TFCON Optimus/Diaclone City commander armor for instance), I'd be more comfortable about trying to get my hands on it. I would have to see a consistent level of quality in the repaints. For all we know, this could just be a picture of the best one they painted.

And on top of that, where are the original figures shoulder mounts?

As for the quality, true this is not a manufactured item. This is a custom and should be treated as such. But we are working very hard on maintaining consistency in all the figures we are creating. We have an "assembly line" process to ensure that all the figures meet our very stringent standards. I hate it when I purchase a figure and it fails to live up to my expectations and we certainly don't want people purchasing this figure to feel like that. We will do our absolute best to make sure this figure meets those standards and hopefully everyone will be happy with them. One of our biggest concerns from day one was paint rub since all the parts aren't molded in those colors. However I am relatively confident that the figure will withstand a certain amount of wear and tear before the paint begins to chip. No figure will go out the door without my stamp of approval and I have very high standards

This figure just gets better by the day! With my birthday being on the 8th guess what I am buying myself on the 7th  

 

We wanted to show off a comparison shot of Aftershock with Warpath so everyone can see all of the differences in case you are on the fence about purchasing. Contrary to how it may appear, this figure has been FULLY repainted. We originally were not going to paint the maroon, but after examining G1 Quake we decided that Warpath's redish color was not sufficient. It really becomes apparent when the figures are side by side.

 

With getting Fort Max I unfortunately won't be able to afford one. Great work on this figure guys.
