Hopefully someone can give us comparison pics to the original Fort Max. The colors on Cog don't look right to me. The gray doesn't look the same as does the blue.

 

I dunno why but I really prefer brave max color scheme, If just brave had all accessories in fortress I would better invest in a brave, because for me it has a more "diaclonish" look but hey the fact of being able to get a minty fortress for 400 shipped(yes i am getting the early shipment from bbts- do not want to risk and compete with the scalpers that buy everything and then sell it at twice the price) is a dream come true.

 

It's sad that Fort Max hasn't been portrayed in this scale in quite some time, otherwise I might be tempted by this. As it is, I just want one in MTMTE scale.

 

There are a few members here whom do custom casting that make all the parts in Brave colors.

 

which online retailer has the fort max w/ coin & headphone jack?

 

Robot Kingdom has both together..and I guess HLJ has one or the other, you cant get both, you have to choose...or so I heard

 

The face sculpt looks pretty spot on to the original FM, which is awesome

Can we get a confirmation if the eyes are painted or pre-applied stickers? Also where did you get yours to be single taped?

 

Thanks to the ever–fantastic Comic Toys, I am one of the first to get my hands on his bad boy. Took many months of saving money and I damn near threw out my back transforming it but holy crap was it worth it. Also got the little headphone thing. It doesn't actually do anything but it's a little bit of silly fun.

 

Please tell me those stickers have some shine to them like the originals. those almost look like they have white backgrounds instead of silver. ugh!

and man, does he look hell'a dull without stickers applied.

okay, so the comparisons I want to read about are:

stability, tightness, durabiliy, ratchet joints. I want to read if it "FEELS" cheap or not like Encore in the past, such as Skylynx and Metroplex.

 

Thr only part of him that feels a bit cheap to me is Spike. Thr joints are incredibly tight everywhere. I can hardly even put Cerebros into head mode without breaking my hand. I can't really speak for the stickers as my stickers arrive tomorrow. To those who are asking by the way, the eyes do appear to be stickers, but they may be glued down as they don't feel like they're going to shift or come off.

 

My wife doesn't even know I'm getting this   I'm totally going to set this up on our dining table and see what she says when she comes home from work.

What the...I was assuming that all initial FM releases would come double taped due to the QC inspection. Does this mean that there is a batch that was good and others weren't, or is it possible that yours was somehow missed and you just got lucky?

You're not the only one, Brave's colours are much, much better imo. The city mode actually looks like a city   Not to mention the Robot mode just pops.

It's been confirmed to be painted as well as additional eye stickers on the sticker sheet iirc.

The eyes are like Brave Max's. I tried to identify if Brave had painted or stickered eyes and couldn't tell, but was told they are painted. I guess it's another case of it being hard to identify if it's painted or not, but it is painted.

My FM touched down and I hope to get it soon!!

 

Yeah, originally it was stated to be painted but then later on it was reported to be pre-applied sticker so I wasn't sure. Even Rhinox555 seem to think it is sticker so I just wanted some more confirmation. It's good to know that it may indeed be painted though.

Upon closer inspection, Fort Max's eyes does look painted on.
