And Takara can call him Frenzy all they want. But, he was Rumble in the G1 Cartoon! And Rumble he will will always be!

 

The blue one was called Frenzy in the Japanese cartoon too and this blue Frenzy toy is Japanese being sold in Japan.

 

Totally passing on both these from Takara. I prefer Takara but spending 70 each on them when I can maybe grab a Hasbro SW with all 5 Cassettes for $130?

They are really cool.. but it doesn't seem like much of a toy for $70 bucks.

I'd pull the trigger on them for 35-40.

 

I just call the red and blue one whatever Hasbro released them as.

I'm still a little shitty that I committed to forking out close to $300 for TakTom's Soundwave & all his cassettes (when I could've paid just half of that for Hasbro's Soundwave in a few months time) but when you're as weak as me...  

 

First Release bonuses aren't necessarily pre-order bonuses, just simply the first wave of figures will have them and none else. They are very common with Bandai's high-detail action figures.

 

A few of those pics seem to show poor paint apps. Perhaps it was just lighting? I've seen several US MP's with shoddy paint, but never a Takara version. I'm a tad concerned now.

 

Paint mishaps is almost universal on every MP figure.

 

The Red visor was worth it   I'm in the same boat though, the only positive is MP-13's price has already reached MP-10's, so if you were to sell now you would actually be profiting. I won't, but just saying. I'm also assuming that you bought him when he was less than 200 as well.

 

After receiving Frenzy last month with a mark on the left side of his face, and seeing these rumble pics with the same mark on the left side of his face, I was hoping I'd get lucky and get one with a clean face. As I opened the box I took out rumble, moved the arms, and went straight for the face......and sure enough there's a gash on the left side of his face.

I moved on to buzzsaw and I have to say I was unprepared to see possibly the worst paint application I have seen since MP Sideswipe. Buzzsaw has horrible QC. The paint is very sloppy.

But hey, this is the ultimate line right? Transformers Masterpiece. I'm giving up, I expect QC issues on all my MP figures from now on.

I was gonna say why pay 70 when RK has them for 50, but they're out of stock...They were instock a few days ago!

 

I preordered them before they were announced by Hasbro. I didn't want to take any chances they wouldn't be released by Hasbro. I have no regrets. So far Soundwave is awesome. I prefer Takara's paint schemes for Masterpiece figures anyways.

Okay... how long has it been since we saw these guy's?? All the way back to G1... right! And still they are giving them the wrong names?!?! Come on people... the blue guy is called RUMBLE ! Not Frenzy.

 

Wether you prefer RIBFIR or RIRFIB, RIRFIB is always correct to Japanese names which these have on their boxes.
Also, why are you opening up that debate? Is that nessecary? Now it'll take a short time for a full-scale argument to begin.

They arrived today. Frenzy and his paint apps are immaculate. Buzzsaw has flaking paint on the inside of his wing folds but these parts are covered up by the wing assembly in both robot - and cassette mode so I´m not too fussed about that. It´s nice to have all cassettes  

All I need now is Ratbat. Not for who he was in the toon, but for his Marvel comic persona.
