the wizard of oz, 1991; 25 minute animated movie. this movie has to be the fastest version ever. every plot point was there. they just skipped any development what so ever. it opens with dorothy running away from the tornado, then she's in kanasa. and the witch is already there greeting her. then in less then two minutes *i mean from the beginning of the movie* she has already met scarecrow, and then they're off to find the wizard with the tinman, and then jim cummings shows up as the lion. complete with a crown on his head. for some reason.

8 minutes in they are already asking the wizard of oz. 10 minutes in they have killed the wicked witch of the west. then they go back to the wizard, who abandons dorothy the first chance he gets, and goes home. and the reason why he said he didn't go home was because he was "afraid" of the witches. so he stated pretending the be a wizard. so in other words, this idiot sent a 12 year old to kill the witch, then ran away as soon as he could. he didn't even wait for the girl to get into the balloon, he just took off. :lol

oh i guess but before that, he gives the scarecrow glasses. and told him it will make him "think" better. because glasses make you smart, right? the tin-man got a refrigerator magnet. and the lion got a hat made out of flower. because apparently flowers make you braver. :lol

22 minutes in and they are at glinda's place, who greets dorothy by name, no one questions how she knew who she was. or anything, and then she tells her that she had the power to go home with the shoes. but the "best" part was dorothy then says, "I could of gone home the day i got here!?" day? she's been there 25 minutes max. :lol

this is like wizard of oz, on ADHD. :lol

the movie is horrible. but the voice actors are clearly having fun with it.

    "You poured water on me!"

    "I didn't mean too!"

"you didn't mean to, and now i am dead!?!" :lol

a tree falls and blocks the yellow brick road. which is a very SMALL easily passable tree. and they go "oh no! what do we do now!??"

this movie is shit. but it is hilarious shit.

    :lol

1 out of 10 for seriousness.

9 out of 10 for hilariousness. :lol

i also love how when they meet the lion, dorothy points at the tinman going "NO!" and the camera pans to him about to CUT the lion in half with his ax. wtf 1991 animation? wtf!? :lol

i also want to know how THIS no name company, got Jim Cummings to be the voice of not one character, but TWO characters in this shitty film? :lol

    DINOSAUR ADVENTURE - 10/10

This is the worst goddamned piece of shit EVER. I've NEVER seen an animated movie with poor animation quality, horrendous voice acting, and hideous story-telling. It is not only the worst animated movie ever, but the worst movie ever, PERIOD. I'm not kidding. I've NEVER seen anything so horrendous. Dog shit can pass as a better movie.

And you know what? That "10/10" is not a typo. People need to see it. I mean, people NEED to bear witness to the holy grail of horrible movies. GO WATCH IT. I've got the Youtube link for part 1 right here.

    Silent Hill 2 - 7/10

Not as good as the first, but still pretty good gore. Story feels rushed.

    Olympus Has Fallen.

this is a mix of red dawn, and die hard. the plot is basically die hard. guy trapped in a building, trying to save hostages from a group of well armed terrorists.

This is probably the best movie i have seen all year. it's fun, action packed, full of one liners, and even has some pretty great moments.

plus unlike die hard five, there is no shaky camera crap, so i can actually see what the hell is going on. die hard five, felt like the cinematographer got drunk, then died, during filming. probably shot by the director. and then they just left the camera shaking the entire movie. this how ever, has great cinematography. using actual effects, rather then all CG. no cg, cartoonish glass breaking. if there was cg in this, then it was so good, that i couldn't even tell.

it is not the greatest movie ever. there are some plot holes here and there. and there are some moments of "wtf? that doesn't work that way!"

but it all works in context to the movie they have created.

it isn't the best movie ever made, but it is a great action film. that actually feels like it could of been an 80's action film. or even, Die Hard five.

it also has some elements of red dawn. where America is invaded by North Korea. Although in this version, it's North Korean terrorists. but in this version, it actually works. there is no super weapon, that magically destroys all of ours. there is no cg paratroopers. there is no mass invasion. you get the feel that all the terrorists, had come over from Korea, over the last 10, to 20 years. you get the feel that this is a massive, well thought out plan, that they had put into action maybe 20 years ago. paying people off. getting americans to join their cause.

this movie is far from flawless. but it is a well made movie. if you like action films, if you like well made, violent action films. if you like Die Hard, and were disappointed in the last couple die hard films, then this is your die hard 4 or 5. Just with Gerard Butler as Bruce Willis.

I could see this movie, becoming a series of movies, like Die Hard. But hopefully they stop with the third. and do not go off and make Olympus Has Fallen five, in Russia, or something. :lol

    9 out of 10.

    highly recommended.

tom and jerry wizard of oz.

this is a tom and jerry cartoon, in the middle of the wizard of oz. *the 1939 movie* complete with some of the songs. or parodies of the songs. NOW this is how you make a tribute to the wizard of oz movie! *or to tom and jerry*.

it really shows that the crew really liked both tom and jerry, and the wizard of oz. it goes through most of the events of the movie. with tom and jerry waking up a few hours after dorothy, and then trying to follow her to the wizard of oz.

and i love how they took the "other" path... the vastly more dangerous path. :lol  i think this is the same path dorothy took in the anime version. :lol

they sing; somewhere over the rainbow, their own version of the "if i only had a" but with height, for the munchkin mouse, the merry old land of oz, and at the end they sing the actual version of "if i only had a brain/heart/nerve/home" song. plus "we're off to see the wizard of oz" a few times.

over all, this is a much better wizard of oz movie then the Oz The Great and Powerful, and the one i reviewed earlier, the 25 minute one. it's hilarious. violent, and true to both the wizard of oz 1939 movie, and to the tom and jerry shorts.

if you like tom and jerry, or the wizard of oz 1939 movie. i highly recommend it. as it does a great job of animating it, while also parodying it too. also unlike that "tom and jerry the movie", tom and jerry, do not talk. :lol

oh and it also has Droopy and Butch. who show up as the witch's guards.

    8 out of 10.

Olympus Has Fallen -Some of the CGI was dodgy in places, but that didn't hinder my absolute enjoyment of this flick.

One of the best "Die Hard in a..." films I've seen in a long time.

This is actually a good movie because the pokemon in this movie are actual characters. that and Vic Mignogna as Keldeo rocks.

Oz, the Great and Powerful - 5.5-6/10

I really wanted to like this movie. I liked the concept.

But I just really had trouble getting into this at all. My main problem with the movie was the characters. They lacked any depth and very few of them had any likability. The actors, whom I've seen do a lot better, all seem so one note here, lacking in the ability to bring layers to their characters (it very well could be as much of a director/script thing).

The characters are just there, and the actors seem like they're just going through the motions with no real feeling behind them. I never cared about the land of Oz the entire time I was watching it. And I really felt nothing for the character of Oz himself throughout the movie and even at the end, his "evolution" just doesn't come across as very believable to me.

The only two characters I felt anything for were Theodora and the China Girl. And even Theodora and what happens to her (and in relation to Oz), is just surface scratched, and nothing more.

The movie felt......shallow. That's the word I'm looking for. Maybe add "hollow" too.
