New and interesting photo from the new movie: Looks like it could be a probe of some kind, or a modified photon torpedo. Since Carol is there, it could be something genesis related. Which if it is, I imagine it's her first foray into the tech that leads to the genesis device in TWOK. Should be interesting to see what it is, and what role it'll play in the movie, if any at all. Could just be a big sciency looking device that appears in one scene, and has no importance at all...Doubtful, but for all we know that could be the case.
Spoiler I wonder if one of the primary reason's for Starfleet investing in the Genesis Program in this timeline is to create a world that would in-time become New-Vulcan.
Two more images have surfaced. Both of which are from the part of the movie set on Qo'noS. Gives us a good look at some nuTrek Klingon weaponry, and what would appear to be a dead Klingon. Well, assuming that Spoiler this is indeed Genesis related, that would certainly make sense .
