GREGG BERGER AND FLINT DILLE TO APPEAR AT TFEXPO 2013 IN WICHITA, KANSAS!

Following last year’s success, TFExpo returns to Holiday Inn at Kellogg & Rock Road in Wichita on August 3rd, 2013 with two brand new guests!

Fans will no doubt remember Gregg Berger’s iconic performance as Grimlock not only in the G1 Transformers cartoon, but also last year’s immensely popular video game “Transformers: The Fall of Cybertron”! Gregg also contributed several other voices to Transformers, including Skyfire, Outback, and Long Haul. With a career spanning more than four decades, Gregg has lent his talents to many other programs as well, including G.I.Joe, Garfield and Friends, Duckman, and many, many more! Gregg will be making appearances and signing autographs throughout the day.

As a story editor and writer for both Transformers and G.I.Joe, Flint Dille was instrumental in crafting the stories of the characters we’ve loved for most of our lives. A writer and designer of video games and interactive novels, Flint recently returned to the world of the Transformers as co-writer of IDW’s digital comic “Autocracy”, as well as its current sequel, “Monstrosity”! Flint will be hosting a Writers Workshop at TFExpo 2013, as well as speaking and making appearances throughout the day.

This year, TFExpo is pleased to announce its very first EXCLUSIVE TOY UPGRADE SET! When a shuttle emerges from the far reaches of the galaxy, a new hero is born! NEBULA STARSHIP is ready to take the fight into the depths of space! This toy upgrade set includes a new head and wings to attach to your existing toy. An upgrade set for who?

 

Year #3 is shaping up to be awesome.

 

I'd like to know this as well, I was thinking going this year, and this will be the difference between spending the initial $30 and $100.

 

This sounds really fun for an upstart convention. Anybody know what the registration deadline is and if there is a price difference for pre-registration?

 

We'll be revealing the upgrade set very soon, just waiting on some finalized images we can show. I will say this: The toy it's for has not been released yet, but should be out on shelves long before the Expo so you'll have plenty of time to pick up an extra.  

We've not established a registration deadline yet, but we'll keep it open as long as we can. It's actually starting much later than we wanted, but we had to wait on the construction of our new website before we opened it. I think everything's working fine now, but if you experience any issue registering please don't hesitate to let us know. Our webmaster has been really good with "quick fixes".

As far as the price difference, I assume you're referring to a difference between pre-registering and waiting for general admission. We're still finalizing the General Admission price structure, but the idea is that you're getting a "package discount" with pre-registration and whatever items come with your particular level. The Saturday Night Dinner and t-shirt are available for "a la carte" purchase, but the toy upgrade set will be more limited, and guaranteed only for Ultra and Premium Registrants. If there are any extras left after Registration closes, they'll be sold at the show for a price yet to be determined.

Hope that answers some of your questions. I'm not trying to be cagey, but there's some things we need to wait to reveal until closer to the show. I'll tell you this: we're planning three more press releases before the show. One is the reveal of Nebula Starship. One is an additional guest announcement (not a voice actor, but someone who is currently VERY busy in the world of TF's). And the last one is the centerpiece of TFExpo 2013, an event that I believe will make a LOT of people VERY interested in attending the dinner. I had a blast last year and hope to do so again this year really looking forward to the script reading it was fun last year to see my friends reading with Gary Chalk.
