Rodimus come hot rod the targetmaster

 

MTMTE Rodimus is cool, and I wouldn't mind him officially becoming a "Prime" at some point in the IDW-verse.

That's all I got though.

 

Like everyone else MTMTE Rodimus or GTFO!

I like Rodimus's archetype the cool hot headed idiot hero leader. Probably also why I like TFA Optimus Prime so much since he borrows from that element.

Galvatron....He's alright but it'd be cool if Overlord or Tarn were the big bads instead.

 

I like that Rodimus is flawed but not in a "typical" way. He genuinely makes bad decisions out of arrogance sometimes. He's not a totally super likable dude right off the bat, he's trying to be something he's not, but can totally be if he just learned patience. Which is really the most endearing part of him, he has so much to learn.

Optimus, generally, has little to learn. He's usually perfect right off the bat and when he does make mistakes it's really hard to understand them because he rarely opens up. The only, obvious, exception is Animated Optimus, but even then he was top-tier coolguyspaceherofighterchamp all along. He just needed to be tested and to realise it himself. That was good, but that wasn't the same as actual learning and growing.

I have wanted to see the turbo-revvin' young punk in the star leadership role for ages ever since I saw that G1 season three almost tried to do just that. We're overdue for a hero who we can watch grow and kids can grow with. I'm not saying this needs to be the norm, just that it needs to be attempted by people who give a shit.

 

i'd like to see rodimus lead, and optimus be retired, and a mentor figure to rodimus. much like alpha trion was to optimus, or like BRUCE was to Terry.

I honestly wish that Prime Smokescreen had been Hot Rod, it would have fit almost perfectly and could have lead to Rodimus in season 3. I too would love for a MTMTE style Rodimus be the leader in a show, I just find it unlikely they'd be able to pull off showing the downside of his leadership style on television. There wouldn't be many moments like Rung's head shot done on a show for kids.

What I'd really love to see is Springer getting a chance at leadership, he was to be Rodimus' sucessor in Five Faces of Darkness and Robert's has hinted at his Matrix compatibility in IDW continuity.

 

I seriously believe the only reason Smokescreen is named as such in Prime is because "Hot Rod/Rodimus" would have spoiled his developement... which was paper-thin to begin with.

Also, we don't need to kill Optimus and Megatron to have different leaders. I'd love it if the next TF show was something akin to MTMTE--brand new teams having misadventures, and fighting battles in different parts of the galaxy. Have familiar faces pop up from time to time if necessary.

his imperfect skills at being a leader and yet hes still very young,
Plus Galavtron would be a nice break as well
as long as its the Galvs from the movie, as the cartoon version had no sanity what-so-ever and makes for a boring Hero-Villian relationship as they cant relate.
But Still in IDW he was better.

As for galvertron I like the idea of separate idw one but the storylines featuring him in idw have all sucked donkey so no thank you.

I got my own original idea of what would make a good galvertron, I would like my galvertron crazy but not in a G1 cartoon sense but more in a manipulative health ledger joker sense where he isn't going for logical Megatron style conquest but more anarchic and chaotic goals where all the heroic characters have there bodies and also their morals stretched beyond breaking point by being put in impossible, unpredictable, no-win situations. I think this chaotic element would tie him in nicely as the emissary of unicron the chaos bringer, would tie in with his UK G1 Marvel comic portrayal and also separate him from being just another megatron upgrade

 

I'd be up for Rodimus and Galvatron returning as leaders, it'd be a nice change from the constant Optimus vs. Megatron we've gotten for so long now. Honestly though, I'd like an even bigger change, namely Star Saber and Deathsaurus. Their relationship has hardly been explored at all outside of the Victory cartoon, there's all kinds of potential there.

 

MTMTE Rodimus.

I wish we had gotten Galvatron (who is in DJW's top five, along with Swindle, Ratbat, Waspinator, and Rosanna.) in TFA.

 

As much as I love Galvatron, I'd love to see a series that has Overlord and/or Bludgeon. Maybe have them BOTH be the main villains, so the Autobots have to deal with two major threats. Two awesome villains at odds, each trying to stamp out the 'Bots first, as well as accomplish their own goals.

 

I'd definitely be up for it, especially in an animated series. We need some new blood leading the ranks. Maybe go crazy and have it take place in a world where Optimus and Megatron are mere legends, and Rodimus and Galvatron are the "Primal" and "BW Megatron" to them.

 

I always wanted a series set during the great war of Autobots and Decepticons with all new characters with a few old obscure ones in the gang.

Have it set on some other planet, and have famous guys like Ironhide or Ratchet make cameos and have one episode guest stars, and have Optimus and Megatron be like misterious figures that only show up once a while on the comunicators to tell them what their next move is and to give orders.

You can totally have Rodimus/Hot Rod as a leader of an Autobots team and Galvatron as a leader of a Decepticon team and have Galvatron be like Starscream in that he wants to usrupt Megatron and become the new leader (like his toy bio says), but have the finale of the series be Megatron and Galvatron fusing into one person and Optimus giving Hot Rod the Matrix with which he defeats him once and for all.

 

I love Galvatron, he's one of my favorites. I like what IDW has done, making him a seperate character and all that. I think it would be fun too see him lead, and to be different, not Megatron part 2.

 

Galvatron, yes. I love me some Galvy. But not so much Roddy.
