You could also buy duplicates of either the arms or legs and use those. That actually sounds kinda cool, having two breakdown feet and wildrider arms.

Tempting... considering Last Chance and Dead End don't look terribly hot. Though... I don't think I could live with myself not buying the whole team. If I had the cash to blow though... I'd buy four sets of them all and make them all different.

little update on my situation. i paid tfsource when tbone dropped instock in my stack, and the confirmation showed him as preorder. an email to tfsource resulted in an odd quirk in their computers. MY tbone is indeed in stock and being processed but it shows preorder because they simultaneously have a preorder option for him. wierd right?

Yeah, I didn't think that had anything to do with it, just trying to be as thorough as possible in the search. It's one of those things that is probably super easy to figure out if I could hold a good one and a bad one side by side.

 

mine tabs together fine now after 2-3 transformations.

 

I have every FP product but Ultra Magnus and Shadow Commander and I can safely say I have yet to have an issue with anything breaking.

 

Just to chime in, I think it's a glitch in their system. I received my TFC Blackbird that I preordered with them, it switched BRIEFLY to "instock" and then back to preorder. It's on my shelf now, shows as shipped, but is still listed as a preorder item if look at the order.

On topic, definitely loving TBone and CC but SERIOUSLY tight joints on TBone to the point I'm afraid of breaking him. I know it's been mentioned but somehow still a surprise.

I ordered my CarCrash along with a Munitioner/Explorer set from CP, really hoping FP just put both on the same boat but knowing my luck they didn't >_<

 

Got CC and TB today. I was really impressed with them in person. But their transformations are a real pain in the ass. Getting all the tabs aligned is real tough. I probably spent about 20 min on TB alone. But once together their alt mode is real solid. I really like their bot modes too. I added some faction symbols and they look great with my other classics.

Got my Breakdown and I'm "eh" about it.

I agree with Peaugh that he feels like the right size (I hope all the limbs are in the same scale once the actual production items come out), the build quality is good, but I do feel ripped off at $60.00...

In the end, I'll still buy the entire set, but it damn well better be worth it. That's all I can say. When I look at Blast-Off and Swindle, plus all of the add on parts for Bruticus and those two were less than $100.00 when I bought 'em and this guy has nothing but a gun and isn't as complex as those two...I'm a little disappointed, honestly.

Chromedome wasn't a let down, he's still fantastic, so it's not all their current products being less than impressive, but Breakdown certainly made me say "Whoa."

When I reminded my wife that HE was the $60.00 one, when I got TWO BH Shockwaves for less than that price, she was a little disappointed in me, even though she fully supports my collecting.

Still, the build quality... DAMN.

 

I have to disagree. To me he feels and looks amazing. Buying him makes me look at my individual Herc bots and wonder why I spent as much as I did on them even more so Silverbolt. Yes of course I know they are not the same size (nor do I believe they should be) But I love his face sculpt and the engineering is rather nice and not hallow. Yes BH Shockwave is a great figure & is the one figure from this line that I feel is a must own for everyone but not all the BH figures are like that.

The possibility of Breakdown is amazing I have yet to find a stance where he doesn't look like a total bad-ass or cool in.
