Probably not. They have different holidays. None on the release date by the looks of it (would be a bit daft anyway).

Others who is not TF collectors definitely will assume we are crazy to spend 350.00 on Fort Max but to us,every penny is worth it.

20 to ship with in the US??? Damn I am so jealous of your shipping prices. This guy is going to cost minimum $50(but you have to pay $350) or for $299 you have to pay $100 :O ) In the end this guy will cost me $400 to avoid customs. For a Canadian to score low shipping they would have to shop Canadian but that automatically adds 13% to the price so it isn't worth it. (Plus the Canadian sites always charge the most for some reason)

TBH Who cares, who'd a thunk we'd be getting a minty minty packed in styrofoam Fortress Maximus for $400 or less? To a TF fan and to us that collect G1, this is beyond living a fan dream.

Depends on what service will be used to ship him. I'm getting him from AE, who will only ship him by airmail or EMS, due to his size. Fine by me, cause it means I'll get him fast enough (and he'll likely be stuck in customs anyhow), but I'm counting on shipping costs to Holland of around 11,000 yen, which is about €88. However, importing him directly from Japan with 30% discount on RRP more than makes up for that cost, compared to buying him from a local importer.

If EtoysJapan offers SAL, that should cost you about 83,000 yen, which is around €67. Of course, that takes a little longer (and will still end up in customs :(  ).

BTW, I used JapanPost's fine internet site to get those quotes, based on a package weight of 6 kg.

Yes, i normally chose the slower cheaper way, i can allways choose
when ordering from them. so ok, i guess it will be about € 67 then

I am getting both as well so thats why I have already started saving for Metroplex already on my CC so that I have the money ready when I can get him and hes out online at stores or TRU if hes an exclusive. Either way I am getting them and my GF says go for it for me to get both and displaying them, well thats another issue I havn't figured out yet on how to do that cause I havn't gotten that far yet.

It's interesting with most of the Encore line, unlike with Masterpiece where we see up close photos well before release, the Encore tends to not get that until they release the figure to the masses.

i have noticed this as well and have chalked it up to Takaratomy deciding people are generally going to know for the most part what the reissues are going to look like.

anyone ordering this in the US doesn't have to worry about taxes. Customs doesn't really tax on toys. I ordered something from japan before and they basically put a value of $5k on the declaration label and I still wasn't taxed.

They should include a Legends class G1 figure just for the heck of it. That would be cool.

Makes sense though. Anyone with fingers and Google can look up what a G1 toy about to be reissued originally looked like. With MPs however, those are new molds or new decos they're rolling out so Takara has to pimp those out to show people what they're in store for.
