Used to feel the same way about Scorponok - until I bought a couple of junkers at decent prices, pieced together one from the best parts and sold the leftovers

HLJ pre-orders are unreliable at best: they've failed me too often to count on them. They oversell their pre-orders, and you will only know if they granted your preorder, once an item has been released: in which case it is often too late to order somewhere else at a reasonable price.

 

OMG! last night i dreamed that i allready got mine Fort max by mail! i was in love!!

I had a dream that I had him in city mode then my neice picked him up and accidently dropped him =(

3 more weeks till he arrives!!

 

I'm now walking around the house with a tape measure, desperately trying to figure out a place to put this behemoth  

 

Must've been leftover stock from cancelled pre-orders.

 

HLJ pricing at $248.68 is quite reasonable for such a big piece

 

just keep in mind import taxes and shipping for something so big will be a big mark at the end. I've bought from HLJ before and while they are an awesome store with a huge range shipping and tax have meant I could have paid to a local seller and gotten it weeks earlier for the same price.

But keep in mind this was back when BT Override was a new toy and taxes and shipping rates change all the time

Got mine preordered at BBTS and I have things worked out to have $350 to cove rfort max + shipping plus an additional $20 in case I am a bit off on the actual shipping cost.

 

Im considering where ill put Fort Max and Metroplex eventually.

Hopefully Ill be able to get both. and then find display space for them. Mostly ill just have to reorganize a bit

 

Yup Im getting both as well, my wife think im crazy for spending 350.00 on a fort max and shes right 

 

Does anyone have a guess as to shipping cost? I kinda need to plan for it...

i was trolling amazon and typed in Fortress Maximus and low and behold I found a listing for the Encore reissue not via Amazon its self but by sellers in Japan:

the prices are high bu the shipping is low, and i have to wonder if the big guy would slip past customs.
Also the pics seem to be of the original to go by the eyes being stickers.
