Here is my Orion Pax. I parts swapped with a FOC and Classics Optimus Prime for the torso and legs and I used a HFTD Breacher head. The head is a little small but has kind of a young but serious looking pre-upgrade look and the Classics Prime legs gives the FOC torso nicer proportions for the bot mode. Gave him two FOC guns and even some exhaust pipes for the forearms for something a little extra. Then have the figure a flat black base coat and then dry brushed aluminum, reds, and blues.
Cool leg swap, it works very well in the alt mode. Paint apps are wonderful as always. The clocker side pipes are an interesting choice.
I think the head looks fine and the whole figure is top notch. So you dry brushed all the colors onto the black base coat? The last time I tried to do that all the colors came out scratchy looking.
This works magnificently! I always thought of upgrading my prime with those legs, but I ended up getting a WFC figure. I like how all of your Optimi have similar paint jobs for consistency and that this Orion Pax is more cybertronian than what we'll get for generations.
I try to keep my Primes consistent. This blue is nice but it was not as dark as my previous ones though. Speaking of previous ones...
I'm using a Breacher head on this body for a custom as well. I think it's a good fit, especially if you don't want to cut plastic. Great work!
No cutting at all. Just a perfect swap. And the FOC Prime head from this figure was the one I used on my Classics Alternity Prime a while back.
