If Takara came out with yellow eyes there would have been an uproar too. If Hasbro came out with red eyes nobody would have said a thing. Doesn't matter which way you look at it, yellow eyes on a masterpiece soundwave figure is a stupid idea.

Yep! Which is why I'm in the yellow eye camp.

It's only the red eye camp that thinks that though. This way, you CAN have red eyes! The Takara release! Those of us that prefer yellow can buy the Hasbro release.

Personally, I'd have bought the Hasbro release either way and been happy. I just would prefer yellow eyes if all possible.

    Nice.

Well, I prefer the red eyes but I'm not going to complain about the yellow. I'll settle for yellow eyes and get all the tapes for the relatively low price and be happy about it.

I'll bitch, about 25% jokingly, about the yellow, but buy both and love them both.

This is a issue? A visor trumps a much lower price point including the tapes? Surely not!

All of which pales next to the fact that the Hasbro version comes with the cassettes, for significantly less money than the Takara version.

I'm disappointed that this figure has so much articulation. I'm waiting for a 3rd party add-on kit to restrict the joints and ensure the only tilts are when it falls forwards or backwards.

I know the feeling. I've done some paint detailing and modifications on a couple of figures, and I always feel like I'm devaluing them.

Lord knows I could never bring myself to paint a masterpiece figure.

From people that bought the Takara Version and are looking for ANY and all excuses to say the Hasbro one will suck. They are basing that he doesn't come with Frenzy/Rumbles weapons, his analyzer etc just because they were not shown in those promo pics.

I think most people that have the Takara version like myself are going to buy the cheaper Hasbro version to display in alt mode.

Would it be possible to dismantle the head so the visor can be painted without risking splattering the other parts?
