heeeeeeeeeey... I was at that car show... Do me a favor and blow that last picture of the decked out Camaro up for me... that MIGHT be me getting into the one on the floor behind it. LMAO!!
Ha ha! Nice! Well believe me, witchcraft is possible, IF you spend 2 hours straight on one hinge assembly. Ha! Thanks, No freakin way! Are you kidding me! Well I couldn't find any higher res versions of that photo, so I can't do a zoom. Please tell me that was you, that'd be so funny. And then I'd have to give you credit for this project since you were there (photo proof) before I even had the idea for the colour scheme. Darn it. Ha!
Well... It definitely COULD be me.. I have a grey coat and my hair looked like that at the show... What day did you go on???
awesome work, i was so impressed by your mini masterpiece optimus, especially with the scratch build trailer, and i cannot believe that your topping that project with this re-shell. that is one impressive hindge!!! like everyone else said, love your step by step. thanks so much for taking the time to do the process for our benefit!!
Wow!That is a hard decision on the wheel placement. But I think I like the 4th picture down the most.Awesome job!
Loving your enthusiasm, Jozaeh. It's so much fun reading about someone who enjoys their project so much.
Ah heyo Megaprime! Ah you're a liker of my mini prime?! Nice! That scratch built trailer was so much fun to scratch hey. I know what you mean, the hinge is something I just keep playing with, it just moves every which way! And you're super welcome hey, it's fun to share. I know hey! And the fourth down, ahhhh nice one! I really like that one too, especially with how it looks from the back angle. Thanks for sharing your choice hey. J Ah hey Danso, yeah I am enjoying these projects so much (at the expense of that annoying thing called sleep, ha ha! But i'm glad it's fun to read, thanks.
Hey peeps! So I had to tackle the next hurdle of how to place the front wheel fender on the 'con's lower legs. Because his knee pivot is on a hinge, it means it's placement when in alt mode isn't locked certain until I finish it and put securing tabs in place. So! I wanted to see if I could do something different that the original vehicon's front fender transformation. After brain stare processing at the lower leg parts for I swear an HOUR, I had this idea. The pois that I want the fender to be upside down and pointing upwards and forwards in bot mode. So that means I need the rotation point to be on-fender at the front of the car. But that rotation point needs to be on-hood panel, at the BACK of the hood. Aie! Then I came up with an idea of how to relocate a rotation point: I did a test hinge, and the thing freakin works!! And here's how it looks in bot mode. Then i'll get to mounting the front wheels in the fenders. I think i'll switch the hinge assembly to the other side to be under the hood, as this will give me more clearance on the fender's rotation for the final working piece. See ya! J
Yeah I was half avoiding sorting out a solution myself, ha! Well i'm still yet to cut the shin peg's hole in the roof of the pontiac, but once that's in, the roof fold up will be rock solid. It's already surprisingly secure without it?! As for the fender, it's only got one pivot point, so that's less secure, but! That aint anthing a small peg and hole for bot mode won't fix! So yep, overall i'm so fortunate with how secure the whole bottom leg foldup is. It could easily have beem a floppy jalopy. ha!
I'm really excited to see this finished! You have done such an amazing job so far. I check back each day (probably like any time I see a new comment - so like 12000 times a day). Keep it up!
Ah I explain that in the very first post of this thread, unless you wanted the exact name of the place? Ah cool Mona! I'm glad you're enjoying it that much! I too have a bit of a compulsive checking thing with this forum, it's so good! 12000 times, ha ha!
Digging those fenders. They kinda look like holsters/ankle sheaths. If they're supposed to have headlights/taillights, you think you can make those lights into barrels of laser pistols/beam-baton kinda things? Maybe make them stick onto the engine gun for a bigger dakka?
where you got it, 1. i have no knowledge of any hobby shops in aus 2. i have wanted to get one of those shells for a different purpose
