You and me both.....look at the size of cars next to an articulated truck. There is no way a car would be as tall as the cab in robot form....it's all relative.

Over the long haul, it'd be nice to see more roughly MP-10 sized Autobots, like Blaster, Springer, or seeker-sized Aerialbots, and more car-sized Decepticons, like the Stunticons and Battlechargers. I still like the character-by-character focus, but right now the main Decepticons are just so much bigger than the main Autobots, over the long run, it would be nice to see both armies even out in the size deparetment. Can't wait for some really big guys, though I think the limit (while staying roughly true to scale charts) would be Omega Supreme. What a piece that would make though!!

See thats where you just get a few more 'bot cars to balance out the larger seeker size. :)

^ This. The truth is the core Decepticons are on average bigger than the core Autobots. Especially in season one. I frankly don't need equal sizes or equal numbers. Hopefully we'll get what was shown on screen.

Now, the constructicons and insecticons are smaller Decepticons and both are early season character groups. And the dinobots are bigger Autobots. So hopefully we'll see them and you'll get your wish.

Perceptor, Blaster, Grapple, Trailbreaker, Ironhide and Ratchet will help balance it out nicely :D

I hope Fanstoys tackle Perceptor once they're done with Blaster!

Correct -The Decepticons are bigger and typically badder -They are WAR VEHICLES on top of their size advantage. The Autobots win battles because of courage and teamwork. Decepticons lose because they are bullies and only attack when they have the advantage. In actuality they are cowards.

The Constructicons are Seeker Sized however -Only they toys were small.

Ah, right, right. I knew that but my brain thinks of them as smaller because of the toys.

When were the Constructicons portrayed as seeker sized? They've been shown to be slightly bigger than the insecticons in every G1 episode.

I'd love to see something, ANYTHING with more die cast parts, built to scale with MP1/MP5. Don't get me wrong, I think the recent MPs still look great, I love the size, heft, and detail on MP1/MP5 and would love to see that brought to the rest of the MP line. I'm surprised there isn't more uproar about this on the forums, I would think for sure that fans would want larger, more detailed robots with more die cast metal parts?

Though MP-1 and MP-5 are bigger, they're not exactly better. Diecast doesn't make a figure good. Mp-1 though impressive, is bulky and too heavy as a result from the diecast being used and is not nearly as accurate as MP-10. MP-5 though big, is a very light feeling figure for its size and is very spindley and dis-proportioned.

I don't think there is any kind of outrage over the direction of the MP line, because we are getting a better incarnation of the characters we grew to love as kids from the G1 era.

    ^^^^^^

I really enjoyed the Transformers Animated series for just this reason. They even made the POINT that the Decepticons were GENERALLY the larger, much stronger robots to the Autobots smaller, weaker service-bots. On hindsight, this was always how it was. But I just love that distinction.

My vision of the scale of some of these guys, now most of the art the characters are not standing straight so it was tough scaling these guys. I just use the lines instead you get the general idea.

The size charts that are inside this thread. There are many animation scenes that contradict their size. The movie shows them as Seeker Size along with the chart -that's good enough for me. It would also bother me in an MP Line that a Bull Dozer or Cement Mixer might be smaller than a Lamborghini or Nissan.

Sorry -Can't agree with you on... anything. I care not for Metal as it tends to only scratch and require stronger joints. My opinion is that MP01 and MP05 are nice and big to display, but they don't look like fun to play with nor transform. The direction of the line is perfect -The right scale, great poseability, and faithfulness to the cartoon that we have never seen before. As the cartoon isn't much about detail, nor am I. The new line represents the Toon characters that I love, not the G1 brick toys that sucked. (Sorry G1 Collectors.)

I think I'd prefer the Constructicons maybe a head taller than the average carbot. I'd want them to be big, but small enough that they can tussle with the carbots without looking daft.

I also have to disagree here. Personally I'm the type of collector that the closer it looks to the original animation model the better chance there is of me buying it. Mp1-5 look somewhat nice, but I prefer the newer MPs (9 on wards) they are so much more accurate to the g1 cartoon. As for metal I'm glad they reduced the amount of diecast in the newer MPs. From what I've seen diescast is more trouble than it's worth on these figures, I've seen MP's that are only 2 years old but all paint is starting to chip off the metal pieces and it really starts to look shitty

Well if we go by the movie, Devastator formed inside of Astro-train, who was hauling all the Cons back home. How big does Astro-train have to be then :)

I think an MP Astrotrain the size of MP01 would be epic.

Man alive. I'd be so willing to pay $800 for just shy of seeker-sized Constructicons. Not each, but over a period of time, and if they transformed into Devestator.

    Here are 2 questions -

1). Would you buy them if they great representations of the construction vehicle and cartoon robot, but DIDN'T form Devastator?

2). If they DID form Devastator, but were "parts formers", would that be bad?
