It would be kind of interesting if the new series was more of a prequel. They could bring back some favorites they killed, and explore some folks we didn't get to know (i.e. Tailgate, Seaspray). I wouldn't be against seeing some of the same characters, but I'd like to see the Wreckers black ops missions if they went the prequel route.

If they focused on a post BH story, I'd prefer we only see the current bots in cameo roles. I'd prefer to see guys like Magnus, Sideswipe, Jazz, Ironhide, maybe Kup and one or two others.

 

Damn that is awesome! If the new show is a sequel well then I hope Jazz will join the Autobots with this design!

 

New show please, I don't really like that prime series /: I'd love something like the "War for Cybertron" and "Fall for Cybertron" videogame visual style (G1 reloaded). That storyline did a better job than any previous TF series IMO too. Cheers.

With all the investment into the Aligned Continuity, I'd expect that whatever comes next will be a part of it. So probably in continuity with Prime as well.

I would kill to see Arcee meet Springer for the first time in the Alligned Continuity or have the seekers make an apperance reuniting with Starscream.

Only if he does more that just stand around and looks cool i'd be okay with him being in it. that design is the best Sideswipe design.

 

Although "in continuity" is a pretty wide term when it comes to the whole Aligned Continuity BS.
The next show could be completely different fom Prime, but Hasbro would still claim it's in the Aligned universe.

 

I'm hoping for a sequel with new characters and settings, but with cameos from the Prime cast to connect the two.

Oh, joy! Yet another person to add to people I don't like list! Seriously though, did any of you complainers even watch the show?

 

A sequel could be brilliant... and go a long way towards redeeming various issues I have with Prime.

Get a more lively set of characters. Say Hot Rod, Springer, a whole gang of Autobots. A few all-new characters. They're hunting down or maybe being chased by Cyclonus' gang of Decepticons, when they crash-land on earth. They think they've lost the trail. They're seeing earth through alien eyes. They think they're alone.

Spend maybe the first season in space, the second season on earth, and a third season where everything comes together. Have occasional references to "the legendary Optimus Prime" (so they can sell toys without requiring him to have an active ongoing role).

That's probably not the most original concept, but I like the idea of an indirect sequel, where it takes some time to tie in loose threads.

 

I'd love it if the sequel series (that's my theory and I'm sticking to it) were to have a mostly new cast. Preferably at least one of Bluestreak, Sideswipe, Jazz, Springer, Windcharger, or Hound. Thundercracker too. Unlike some others, I'd be happy with Arcee sticking around though.

And yes, I would like new versions of post movie characters, like Headmasters or Pretenders, even without the gimmicks. But Hasbro rarely if ever uses them, so I wonder if they even still have the rights to the names of a lot of these guys.

 

Oh, agreed, I'd like to see a new cast! Gonna be a classic Meta and ask for Breakaway as well  

 

Have Cybertron restored at the end of BH. The Autobots go home but the kids have to stay behind (for whatever reason). Then twenty years later some Autobots (mostly new guys, with maybe a couple of old TFP ones) come to Earth to locate the now adult Jack. Miko and Raf. There's a new Decepticon threat that involves both Cybertron and Earth. The new series has adventures set on both planets, plus bridging to other worlds.

Call it 'Transformers: Space Bridge'.

Oh, and Jack and Miko are now married and have two kids.  

And Arcee is dead. Just so Jack can cry 'All my parters are dead!!'.

And then Miko, his wife remember, would kick him and say 'Not all your partners'.

Personally speaking that does kinda take away some of the excitement at the prospect of a new TF series.

 

Hoping for a sequal with a character lineup of Rodimus Prime, Springer, Kup, Arcee, Dinobots and the decepticons with Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, Abominus (predacons who swore loyalty to Galvatron) and Slipstream (new nemesis for Arcee)

But damn Hasbro, I dont think they'll ever do another show where OP and Megs arent the main two characters.

 

Maybe a spin off show for Agent Fowler?

Maybe. Would be interesting to see him revealed as a Pretender or become a Headmaster.

Alternatively, they could explore his life beyond his dealings with the Transformers.

 

I'd watch this, even if I have to eat star-spangled shorts to watch it!
