My guess is the new continuity will take a break for the movie (don't want Transformers competing with itself). Once that is over they will continue the WFC/FOC/Prime/BH continuity with a new iteration. It would be silly to abandon the continuity now after spending three years and two games establishing it. Also consider that Hasbro Studios just spent money on a brand new Optimus Prime model, do you really think they are going to waste it on one season especially when it links the WFC/FOC and Prime aesthetic quite well. The new show will likely be Prime with a new catch phrase (Prime, Beast Hunters, War for Cybertron, or whatever) but, with way more characters.

personally I think that combs was right when he announced the first time that BH was the end. knowing current marketing and pr relations like to hold all that shit back until they have to, he was probably told to recant his statement, even though true.

so now we have more information basically saying the same thing, I'm inclined to agree until something official saying otherwise comes out.

    :lol

    Good point!

I'd like to think Hasbro learned from that though :D

In fairness we got a lot of nice designs from that toyline (although some may not have had the best articulation) like Galvatron, Omega Supreme, Wingsaber, Shockblast, Downshift, Primus etc, so all they have to fix is the storyline :D

"it does say a new iteration of the animated series" is set for 2014, so maybe after Beast Hunters ends, it'll take a new direction, ala G1 to Headmasters?

Well ... it's canceled after this season. I don't think anyone said differently?

Hey, we can argue that Beast Machines was Beast Wars extended. Can we ...?

Yet an Energon anniversary would have the possibility to bring us epic feats of combiner updates and revisionings.

I might be a bit biased toward combiners though, but unless they stick to rereleasing vintage Energon molds or pull a Classics Cheetor/Dinobot, I can't see this as anything negative coming from an Energon 10th anni.

Maybe a G1 to BW kind of event.

Pretty much since the real RID, its been almost nothing but Autobots and Decepticons, Optimus Prime and Megatron, ect. Maybe those characters will be focus in movies and Generations only. While the new beast push goes on in a new series, that is linked to TFP and Beast Hunters.

Depending on how Beast Hunters end, we could have a set for a possible major Predacon faction as the Decepticons fades and perhaps something like the Maximals after the Autobots fades over time. We did see that one Predacon in Toy Fair that seems to be more BW Silverbolt like in alt mode and the bio hinted as being noble. That character could lead to the creation of the Maximals or another faction to aid the Autobots.

The limit people are not considering, and it is the real reason for a limit, is syndication.

I think syndication hits at 52 episodes which is why A/E/C were 52 eps each.

Silver Lining? We are getting 65 episodes plus a 75 minute movie this time around.

I'm really hoping for a take on the TFs that's similar to the way JLU did the DC Universe, a series while appealing to kids/new viewers, manages to tell great stories that touch upon various parts of the DC universe both old and new. While Animated was able to touch upon the concept, I really disliked the way the galactic war between Autobots and Decepticons has been reduced to basically a small team on Earth. Give us a large rotating cast. Give us the occasional flash forward or time travel stories and offer us the chance to see a modernized take on the Headmasters/Powermasters or Beast Wars. What better way to introduce old and new characters, not to mention sell a whole bunch of toys.

I've just heard the news from my brother...

    And...
    Reguarding this news...

    Rant start in 3, 2...

I didn't hear them say that because it isn't possible!
It's inhuman to cancel quality entertainment and replacing it with something newer and CHEAPER. I know businesses need to make money to thrive, but AT THE SACRIFICE OF GOOD QUALITY ENTERTAINMENT for the people?
This can NOT continue on a seasonal basis.

    SYM-BIONIC TITAN (cancelled)
    SAMURAI JACK (cancelled)
    BEN 10 (perverted sequel series')
ROUGHNECKS STARSHIP TROOPERS CHRONICLES (never got the final episodes aired)
REBOOT (final closure not in sight)
    MORTAL KOMBAT CONQUEST (cancelled)
    Teletoon's STOKED (ended probably cancelled)
    GILLIGAN'S ISLAND (cancelled) Yes i'm a fan

All these the SAME OLD reasons: money, viewing numbers, executive BS decisions!

    I CAN'T TAKE IT!!!

I know this is just some shows but I'M SO ANGRY

QUANTITY is not even a quarter as QUALITY

Now we got CHEAP shows that are drinking from the cup of life which I loathe with great intensity: SPONGEBOB, FAIRLY ODD PARENTS, JOHNNY TEST & other miscellaneous crap CN is airing.

Merchandising is going to be the END of all of us!

I CANNOT STAND BY AND LET THESE CHEAP, POINTLESS SHOWS CONTINUE ON, LOWERING STANDARDS, EMOTIONAL LESSONS, SOUL JOURNEYS!!!!

I swear every time I catch a glance, I get angry and I feel if I watch them out of boredom, my IQ drops several points.

ARE WE GOING TO STAND FOR THIS?!
ARE WE GOING TO LET THEM DO THIS TO US?! NO! I say, NO!!

WE'RE NOT GOING TO WATCH THAT DRECH ANYMORE!!!

WE WANT THE GOOD STUFF BACK! WE WANT THE GOOD STUFF BACK!!
TV EXECUTIVES, LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE!!
GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR BUTTS and START THINKING NOT JUST ABOUT PROFITS and RATINGS but STANDARDS and QUALITY as WELL!!!!!!!

I say good. Prime hasn't really been entertaining or good so I will not miss it at all. Hopefully the next series is far more interesting.
