As noted many times before by other forum members, Megatron has had no BH toys known to date. He and Knockout have had the short end of the stick here. (I'm not bringing up Knockout as he is not nearly important nor as symbolic. Regardless he could still tie-in with this as well)

Not only that but it seems Megatron will be making dealings with a faction of greater power (the Predacons). A toy guide posted on the news not too long ago shows that Shockwave is concerned of their power and that half of them are almost completely untrustworthy. Predaking seems to be in a whole other class of power next to Optimus and Megatron.

In that preview that's been commonly floating around, it is notable that Megatron looks on in awe at Predaking's presence. (Knockout right next to him) He may not be pissing himself like Starscream but he is certainly frightened by this monstrosity.

With Megatron undying (but close at times) for two whole seasons and finally scoring a victory on the Autobots plus reaching common ground with Starsceam and obtaining a huge-ass fortress of his own (I think my grammar is bad. I don't really care), it would seem that Megatron is living the life.
But all good things come to an end. Perhaps Megatron might finally bite it (and perhaps Starscream might be unhappy of it for the first time lol).

There is also news going around that the Autobots will align themselves with a new allied faction against the Predacons and Decepticons. I think the Decepticons are going to split. Shockwave and the drones may side with the Predacons (Shockwave would only find that so logical), Megatron and Knockout will probably die, and Starscream & Soundwave will aide the Autobots. In the end of whatever finale comes, SS and SW will find some way to revive Megatron as Megatron always manages to have a couple of resurrections in every TF series (which is an exaggeration of course).

I'm sure many will disagree with me on this but I'd like to know your thoughts on Megatron taking a leave for a while. Knockout too.
This is also still speculation.

Note: Please don't flame the series or me for this post idea. I'm speculating, not writing an episode. Don't try to figure how much you hate this show in this particular topic either. It's barely relevant and we don't need that shit anyway.

 

While it is likely that Megs will die eventually I doubt it would be that early in the season. Not without an updated form first.

If you've read this from Toy Fair you'll see that there's one more Voyager figure no shown yet along with 5 other Deluxes.

So this does hint of Megatron getting an upgraded form later on after the fire incidant as well as Knockout.

 

Yes but even if they do get upgrades, why so late? Usually later characters means later inclusions for the storyline.
That and the matter of whether any characters will get upgrades or not is still up for speculation.

It should also be noted that Dreadwing has a slot in the BH toyline yet he is already dead.

 

Its a possibility, particularly if they plan to unleash Galvatron. Maybe Megs gets killed early and Soundwave's big deal for the season is pulling off a resurrection a la FoC and turning him into Galvatron. Perhaps a rehashing of Megatron's "Never improve on perfection" line?

 

I really hope not!!! I would be as sad as if they were to have killed off Optimus 

Honoestly I doubt it he is an A character but, he probably will be out of commission for a bit only to return with an awesome FOC style upgrade (ala BH Optimus).

If the Predacons are helping the Decepticons in any way, I do hope the Autobots get some new characters to help. They're otherwise screwed. I didn't read the comic but to match Predacon beasts, I guess I'd like to see the Dinobots help the Autobots.

With how the Decepticons keep defeating themselves, I wouldn't be surprised if Knock Out's next. Don't really want to see him go but... it's Prime. I don't think they'll get rid of Megatron so easily though. While Megatron has a lack of toys, Ultra Magnus got several last year but no signs of him joining the show beyond that computer screen cameo. However, it's all speculation and there are many ways it can go. I just hope they don't make it as disappointing as the Orion Pax season opener.

 

I doubt Megatron will die so soon, even with the addition of the Predacons. He is the big bad of the show, and not even crazy dragons from space are gonna faze him that easily.

Predaking will not allow him self to be controlled by anyone.

And it doesnt to me look like Shockwave will be concerned about the power of the Predacons, since it will more likely be that he thinks he can control them. And he will probably get killed early on in the show, and I will cry like a little baby.

 

I know I said I'd avoid the Prime Forum but honestly, there's not much else to talk about.

The Writers' intended portrayal of Megatron seems to be, as usual, that he's the ultimate Decepticon leader. While they have absolutely no respect for the Decepticons, I find it hard to believe they'd have anyone kill him until the show's last episode. I find it even harder to believe HASBRO would let them.

So as much as this Megatron sucks, I very much doubt he's going anywhere.

 

If Megatron dies, it'll be at the end. I think stuffing Galvatron in along with everything in 16 episodes might be a bit much.

And I'll be shocked if they kill off Knockout. I believe they might loose a huge chunk of their female audience lol. If they do kill him I think it'll also be near the end.

 

If Megatron dies, this show is over. No other current Decepticon compares to him.

Hmm, Maybe Predaking goes rogue sometime through the season, Megatron gets put on ice (not killed), and there's a power struggle between Shockwave and Starscream.

Not unless both of them are dead. If anything some of the best transformers stories we ever got are the ones that didn't feature Megatron in them.

No he's not. I could go in dept about why some other incarnations were better but I don't feel like arguing right not. Not with the people in the Prime forums anyway.

BW Megatron and Animated Megatron are great Megatrons but for me they don't hold a candle to Prime Megatron: better leader, better character, and WAY more powerful (he punched a Unicron mountain into pieces) 

Although I do feel he is the best Megatron (second to IDW), I am not saying all the other Megatrons suck and i could certainly see why people love Animated and BW Megs.
