How much bigger are these voyagers over the existing CHUG deluxes? With how they're changing how they're making figures, are these as large as CHUG Prime and Megatron? Or larger? I'm king of hoping they're a little bit smaller than the aforementioned figures.

I'm really liking that Blitzwing. Jet mode looks like the lesser mode, and even it looks suprisingly good for a triple changer, especially with the wings and the jet nose looking like they should. It looks like there's even jet intakes. I really like how there's a dominant color in each mode too. Also very happy that there's a G1 head option.

Something about Springer's bot mode is off for me. It's just too lanky. I really need to see more pics of it, especially the head. I really dislike that oversized weapon, and am glad it looks like its optional and not a part of any mode. The colors just don't feel right either with the yellow really being too powerful, but then again, this is isn't a real life pic. I need more pics. I really want to like this more.

Metroplex is frickin awesome. I'm hoping there's a little bit more leg articulation to allow some more freedom of options in the splayed out city mode.

I really don't like Trailbreaker's alt mode. It's partly the oversized tires that do it that is made worse by the cab looking smaller than it should. I don't like the deco on the bot mode, but that might just be the product pic making the colors clash more than they would in real life. I need more pics.

Looking forward to all these, along with the inevitable Takara versions as well as any slight remolds like they've been doing for past figures. Sandstorm seems inevitable with Springer's helicopter really looking more Sandstormish than Springerish, imo.

You're right. I thought that was Springer. So after these two, the only ones left would be Gears & Huffer to complete the Ark

Oh, man did I miss a lot today (I was at Science Olympiad). Where do I begin?

Voyagers Springer and Blitzwing: Turbo-bought. They both look friggin amazing.

Deluxe Megatron: YES!! Finally! Personally, I was hoping for a Voyager, but I'll take what I can get. I must admit I'm a bit disappointed in his bot mode, but I'll wait till further pics before making a final decision.

Orion Pax: Bought. He looks fantastic. Love that alt mode!

    Trailcutter: Looks pretty good. Bought.

Bumblebee: Holy crap, I...want this Bee!

Metroplex: Holy. Crap. :jawdropper Did NOT see that one coming! If I can spare the cash, or if I see him on sale, he's a definite buy.

BH Shockwave: I shouldn't even have to explain myself on this one.

    Grimwing looks pretty cool. Bought.

Ultra Magnus... meh. Ne's not as bad as I expected, and actually looks kinda cool, but I think I'll pass on this one (unless he ends up at a discount store).

Deluxe Skystalker: Bought. I'll rename him something like Cryotek or Cyrogen or Mister Freeze. Something like that.

Ratchet: My first reaction was "Ratchet WTF did they do to you?!" But then I saw the apparent Dinobot II homage. Bought.

    Dreadwing: :confused2

Legends BH Shockwave and Soundwave: Both are probably bought. Shockwave is obviously an absolute.

Hasbro certainly set out to please the fans this year: a combining Wreckers team, a couple of long overdue Classics additions (including two triple-changers), an IDW-inspired sub-line and a two-foot tall Metroplex. Their ambition is to be applauded.

So... am I the only one that feels that Hasbro's execution is a bit lacking?

For instance: Springer's robot mode is clearly taken from Nick Roche's depiction of the character; but his automotive and helicopter modes are not. As a Voyager, he towers over his Deluxe-sized Wreckers teammates. He also towers over Megatron, who is coincidentally the same size as Bumblebee. Metroplex's raw size is impressive but as updates go, he appears to contain few improvements and several retrogressions from the original figure - a poor showing given the twenty-six-year span between the two.

All in all, I'm glad that Hasbro are setting a high bar for themselves; but I feel that there is still some way to go between holding such ambitions and realizing them.

Funny how far we've come, and their transformations are almost identical.

Ha, that's awesome. Yeah this is definitely Classics Metroplex to me, not FOC.

This is a lot of good stuff, especially Metroplex. After playing FOC and seeing that Megatron used Trypticon to build the Nemisis. I think it would be neat if Has/TAk would make a triple changer Trypticon that could transform into the Nemisis, Base Mode, and his T-Rex (giant dino-mode, whatever it's called). That would be awesome!

If history has shown us anything, sometimes the originals just work. Look at MP Grimlock!

I'm very pleased with Hasbro for releasing a Legends Class G1 Optimus Prime. It's a great way to buy the figure for those who missed or cannot afford to buy an expensive bigger version.

I thought it looked more like a Valkyrie with boosters but it could also double as an Alpha. I'm ecstatic over the fact that Blitzwing comes with a normal face. Now he truly looks G1.
